It’s just goals… I must remember to post every game he does not score..

Always try to be honest. I feel that is always not welcomed when you question the players. If you read the thread I started it with I have always said I liked him ‘but’ I don’t think he will score goals at this level to warrant playing him through the middle. He is doing he’s best to prove me wrong and I have said as soon as/if he gets 10 I will be first on here to start another thread. As for MOM today comments- No Thats not being negative towards Seymenyo it’s just being honest. Williams and Bentley were different class today and we’re both 9/10 Scott was also very good. In fairness to Seymnyo he did have a big impact on the game getting a goal and assist when he is not at he’s best is credit to him. Again I am sure some will see if different but in all fairness if they do then they just did not go down today or not being honest.

Thought he was pretty average today despite his goal - put my tin hat on but just being honest. He’s touch was off today and wasted a few good opportunities to break forward as could not quiet get hold of the ball. Would have got subbed if did not score when he did. That said he’s strength is there to see and always look like he can cause trouble when he runs at the opposition. Good goal although I thought he scuffed it a bit for the shoot but they all count. Can he play as a Striker through the middle still not sure consistently at this level time will tell. He is still some one I would play wIde in a front three - Yes have said that consistently from the start. As to step up another level he is not ready he needs to improve he’s touch and decision making before he will be ready for the next level. Pace and strength is very important in to days game and he has both. If I was a prem manager would I take a punt on him for £10/15m - No If I was a top championship team would I take him for £3/5m - Yes Seven goals so getting closer to the ten so just maybe a new thread…..

What judge a ‘Striker’ that would be crazy… Just to clear it up a ‘Striker’ measurement is goals scored. Not complicated. You only bring the other ones in to an argument when the player has not scored enough goals to justify the tag ‘Striker’ It was all my title that you have so clearly responded to. With both know that Striker are judged on goals. So when he scores say 10 goals when can say he is a ‘Striker’ When he does I will post a new thread.

Not quiet yet - 7 championship goals does not prove he is a Striker. Also I don’t message ever time he does not score that would have been about 40 messages….. Wrong now ? - No Wrong Future ? - Maybe Lets see what happens this season. I will be happy to post a new topic when/if he gets to 10. Again ‘read’ my message that I started this thread still looks pretty good. Perhaps after you have ‘read’ it you may have a slightly different view of what I actually said.

criticising others that’s easy to do. But actually forming a thought and and a considered opinion that’s a little bit more difficult. Give it ago rather than just pasting ‘Pathetic really’

Any reason you did not put up the top goal scorers charts?

First just have a read of my message that started my thread. I am wrong at this point - Not yet If he scores close to 10 and does similar next season then yes i think we say he is a striker at this level and yes fair to say I was wrong. Will he get to 10 maybe and I hope so. Will I be I here to say I am wrong - Yes Again read my message at the start of this thread it reads pretty well to me and looks balanced to me.

Might be worth reading my original post just to put in context what I said. I could have messaged every week his did not score not sure I would have been that quiet…. Like i said above let’s see what he gets this season before we all get carried away. It if gets close to 10 then maybe we start to call him a striker….

Has been playing very well. Do I like him - again as always stated Yes Has given us a threat we were so sadly missing. He takes the team up the pitch like Albert like to do. But he has only scored ‘7’ championship goals not 25 or 30. if he can get to 10 this season ( he should play 35 games this season) then we can all say he can including me he is a ‘Striker’ and he scores goals. To be clear on this a striker needs to get at least 12 a season if they get 35 games to be a ‘Striker’ worth there position if they don’t then likely we will go down. He is getting there but ain’t quiet there yet. Hopefully I am wrong with my statement. As for quoting stats - it the goals he scores that will ultimately define wither he is a striker or not.

I have been weeing a lot recently 2 last night 2 Saturday 6 the week before 1 the week before that 2 the week before again….

What is the love in with Max just don’t get it. Most people want him in because he is ‘young’ not because he has played well that’s mental. If he had come in and looked a good keeper and better than Bents fair enough but he hasn’t. I think Nige put him to have a look at him and decide if good enough if we off load Bents. Pretty sure Nige will see that he is not good enough and either way Bents or another keeper is needed. I have said many times he is L1 keeper and keep getting pelters for it but the more he plays the more people are seeing that is probably right. We have let in 14 in 5 games and I am not sure Max has made a save that I can recall.

Bring back Bentley. I know not popular on here but Max is a L1 keeper. Nothing he has done in the games he has been in has changed my mind. Maybe good with his feet but not sure I have seen he make a save yet. Gives me very little confidence we will keep a clean sheet. Maybe Nige is giving him a run to see if we need another keeper if we let Bentley go in the summer. So far the answer is yes we do

Played so well as well. We were controlling the game and passing the ball well. Every goal we concede at the moment seems is a header in the six yard box and Max is no where any of them can’t tell me he is better than Bentley.

Bents is a better keeper. Maybe Max better with the ball. Max played 4 league games - No clean sheets and 12 in (can’t blame that all on him) Not been to bad in the 4 but is he better than Bents not for me.! The last goal today does not look good the more you watch it. The next few games are make it brake for Max. If he does not Keep the No 1 spot this season then never will. If Nige fancies hims for next season then he keeps his place if Bents is back then maybe time for Max to move on and get 1st team football even if L1.

MOM and 2 great finishes. He linked play well and gave there back three something to think about. First goal was a brilliant finish

Never saw him play before this season It’s only fair I watch him play before making a judgement. Had you watched him before ? So how can you make a judgement on him. But this does exactly highlight the point I am making he is a great player before anyone actually saw him play… mental Can people stop saying what ‘they want to see’ and say what they are actually seeing. We all see the game differently I get that. But to many posts are just optimistic view rather than reality. I am just bringing a little reality based on what we are watching on the pitch. Im talking shite though…

You have seen the table… And the results in both cups. But yeah you are right the kids are knocking out of the park. Before you post I am not saying the kids should be getting us in the top six ‘but’ I am saying they ain’t quiet we’re some people are suggesting at the moment.

Also for the record before everyone brings up the Seymenyo post. What I said was - I don’t think he will make a ‘Striker’ at this level as I do think he score enough goals at this level on a regular basis. To play as a main Striker needs to be at least 12/15 a season Wide in a three 6/8 would be decent. ‘I like him as a player’ buy for me I said he should play wide in a front three. Am I right/wrong ? At the moment looks pretty accurate a side two goals Saturday and they were both very good ( I had not seen that finishing in his game) he ain’t been scoring enough goals playing well - Yes but not enough goals. I did not see too many re posting my post in 40/50 odd games he has not scored. Lets see if Saturday can give him the confidence and its the start of proving me wrong and he can score regularly at this level (I would love to be wrong) Again like the other post not sure it’s that wide of the mark. Did even know his name at the start of the season. But not sure ready at the moment so he is more difficult to judge as not seen enough to make a call. First game he was awful and I thought what is he doing even on the pitch ‘but’ in the few games he did play I actually thought he is a maybe liked his effort, attitude and good first touch but is it’s to early this season. Gut feeling says probably won’t have enough but could be wrong
