Good question. I have no idea.

It would be cool to see it.

Edit: I seem to remember there is a rule at junior levels that bans mixed teams from a certain age but I don't know if that applies all the way up. I think it does though.

Mixed football? I hope you don't mean at a top level, as they just wouldn't be able to compete at that level.

Calm down. I don't know Tomlin, don't watch him train, or know the insides of his mind so am using common sense to come up with a possible reason as to why he is unable to maintain the physical condition he can get himself into on a few occasions rather than calling him a fat, waste of space scumbag.  You don't know him, you don't watch him train either (neither do I), but you are happy to guess what is wrong with him and why he is unable to maintain his "fit" weight? If he can get himself fit and trim when he wants to, as he lost 2 stone a couple of years ago, I will use my own common sense and guess he puts the weight back on because he is isn't working hard enough to keep himself fit, or he isn't eating healthily enough - simply because he cannot be bothered. It isn't rocket science.

I stand by this statement - "some players just cannot achieve physical conditions as everyone else due to their genetic make up". But he can when he wants to, as has been proven.

It could be that when he moves to a new club or feels the threat of losing his current contract his mental state improves and he's able to get into better shape. Gets the new contract and that 'fear' is gone and he slumps back. Doesn't make him a scumbag or deserving 4 pages of pie puns. Almost everyone would do the same in their own job. So you think he feels the threat of LOSING his current contract his mental state actually improves and he can get into better shape? Surely it would be the opposite wouldn't it. I stand by my initial point, when he needs a new club and contract, he sorts himself out for a few months and gets into shape and puts the hours and efforts in. He gets his goal of a new contract and then reverts to type of being a waste. The "fear" is gone and the slump is back as soon as he gets a contract because he has the money in the bank - we were warned by many fans what would happen. All the facts and proof is out there.

If you feel so strongly that he is a waste, money grabbing and stealing a living, why do you contact him on social media to inform him? I expect you to hide behind your keyboard throwing out comments though...  I think he is a wasted talent, and has stole a living from paying supporters once he has his new signed multi million pound contract. I made a comment on an open forum, on a thread that is titled "Lee Tomlin" with an opinion that I hold, along with many others, about that person. Do you think everyone with a low opinion on anyone should go and find them on Social Media to tell them what they think of them, as that is a very strange stance to have imo?

I agree TR, it is only when the jeopardy for cheating is serious enough ( match bans as you suggest)  that players will think twice about trying to kid the ref.

Re. Ronaldo and Drogba, I suspect that authorities in general, and match officials in particular were wary of getting the wrong side of Fergie and Mourinho, so even if more punitive sanctions had been available I am doubtful they would have been applied against some of the worst offenders, because if their clubs. I wonder whether the authorities shy away from taking a much tougher stance because they worry that they will be coming up against the “big clubs”, who they seem loath to upset?

That's partly my point, go after those and do you think the likes of Fergie and Mourinho would let them players keep trying it on? Ban them and massive fines, and it would soon have stopped imo.

  4. I said it years ago that retrospective action with a 3/4 game ban for a blatant dive, or falling down clutching your face when hardly touched trying to get an opponent sent off etc, and if you do it again and the ban doubles. They should have brought it in when Ronaldo, Drogba and the likes were going down like they were shot by snipers. If it was brought in back then it would hardly be in the game now imo. It would also make Neymar unemployed (his last week was another disgrace to add to his growing list).

And some players just cannot achieve physical conditions as everyone else due to their genetic make up. Maybe he knows this which therefore affects his motivation.

He maybe arrogant and cocky, but it doesn't warrant 4 pages of being called fat, a scumbag (!) and a ****. Not sure which word the **** but I presume it wasn't overly nice.

Hang on a minute, he lost 2 stone a couple of years ago and was extremely fit and trim after hitting the gym, so to simply blame it on genetics is just complete bull - or is it pick and choose when the genetics work or not, the same as his mental health? The bloke is just a wasted talent, obviously cannot motivate himself to make a right go at football - apart from when he is on loan at clubs and chasing a nice new big contract for himself. He then inevitably gets the contract after working hard but then predictably reverts to type of doing what he wants to do, and basically steals a living. Rinse and repeat.

A “scumbag” who has been open about his mental health difficulties in the last few years. Just because he left our club doesn’t mean you have to condemn him to unemployment.

So because someone says they have/had mental health issues are we no longer allowed to criticise them at all, or call them names on a forum?

Did Tomlin claim any issues whatsoever whilst playing superbly when on loan, and applying himself like a true professional? Regardless, the way he conducted himself AFTER he signed a great contract with us (and it seems every other club), then he is a complete ****** imo. We were warned by other fans who were spot on, with many telling us exactly what he would be like once signed.

His wages are basically paid by us, the supporters. Many of which are not well off, wealthy sorts. Yet when this footballer signs a deal after putting in 100% (at other clubs as well), he seems to think it is fine to just down tools, and turn into a complete tosser. So any criticism and name calling is justified imo.

See me after the game Ben, I'll tell you where you went wrong, says the bloke who had half a season to turn it around himself before sticking a relegation on his CV.

So glad he's at Rovers. Such a ****.

He had a team that was 4 points clear of relegation when he took over, and managed to get the to finish BOTTOM. But it's all the other blokes fault..... Unbelievable how they all fell for it as well.

And after the latest charge(s), the wishing Wael was right on the ball:

"Firstly, I think it is really important to confirm that as a club we stand firmly against any form of violence. Any individual that is found guilty of any such offences will be dismissed immediately. I understand the concerns expressed by a number of you.

Why would someone with Wallys so called principles hire him in the first place, it's as if that statement is a load of bull and was made up to appease a few of the saggies....

1,100 sold out of the 1,200 allocation. Assuming we’ll get more ?

No electronic subs board for the Gas .Billy Smart’s at the Mem .

    Story from the post site.

    No electronic board in Bristol

It’s now seemingly commonplace to have a digital subs board even in the lower tiers of non-league football, but for whatever reason, one was absent from the game on Saturday.

At first, it wasn’t noticeable as no subs needed to be made in the opening 45 minutes, and due to the scuffle between the two teams at the end of the first half, no one really paid any attention to how many minutes were added on until it was announced over the PA system.

Harvey Saunders introduction for the start of the second half then made it clear that a substitution board was nowhere to be seen and due to it being from the start of the half no Rovers player ran over to the touchline.

And due to the lack of clarification, completely incorrect information was passed onto stadium announcer Lance Cook who unnecessarily took the brunt of an error that was out of his control.

It became apparent soon that the fourth official was actually holding up his fingers as a way of communication which player was coming off, understandably causing some confusion on the terraces.

I assume the fourth official was related to one of the Sags, as the first substitute was number 16, so he done well holding up that many fingers.

How much to add a step for the kids?

"The club is aware that the recent changes to the terracing areas have caused some issues over the first three games of the season.

We are aware that many fans, particularly younger fans, used to stand at the front of the terrace to ensure that they could see.

Possible solutions could include creating a family area within the terrace or adding an additional step at the front for children.

Assessing these and other options is likely to take some time."

And money that we don't have!

Statement incoming that Brexit has put the price of concrete up?

  12. This gives Barton a fair few more weeks if results are still poor, he will just come out with the "we have to give them time to gel, to get where we want to be".

It is very strange just signing all of the players he has done, and he still won't take any personal responsibility if they don't fly up the league, or indeed he ends up with a fair few players just taking their wage.

I just googled the gig and on some ticket sites it is not clear that it’s the cast from the West End musical.  I thought until I saw your post that is was Queen with Brian May etc.  A second rate concert in a third rate stadium , sure to be a sell out.

This could be comedy gold if people think they are going to see Brian May, there would be multiple complaints and would make headlines.

A bit like the Lapland New Forest fiasco about 10 years ago, fits right in with the state of the Mem, (coming to think of it that maybe that is where Rovers got Santas Grotto from)?

Apart from your manager, the only person at BCFC that I could name or recognise is Scott Murray.  When we haven't played each other for a fair number of years, there's no reason for either set of fans to be aware of who plays for the other team.  Whereas going back to the days of regular derby matches, I could still probably name around 75% of your players.

We know a few of your lot on this thread, solely down to their picture perfect faces at their unveiling holding the scarf.

Stefan Payne being the ultimate imo.
