  1. City men: a part of me really enjoyed Upton Park/Boleyn Ground. Only got to go there once but glad I did City women: Dripping Pan in Lewes. A ground that seems to be below ground level, and has a cool feel to it
  2. Finished 3-0 at full time. Out of the Conti Cup group with one game left to play (Reading at home in December). The other game in the group in this round is Southampton v Arsenal tonight, with a new record attendance to be set for a Saints Women game at St Mary's
  3. As expected, plenty of changes for tonight's Conti Cup game. Most first choice players are either on the bench or being rested ahead of Man Utd on Sunday. Benedicte Haaland makes her first start in goal since returning to the club. Aspin, Connolly, Jones the only starters from Sunday to retain their places. Two academy players on the bench, including Manon Pearce. KO 7.30pm. Game not being streamed live on FA Player, and is only available on SpursPlay; Spurs' streaming service which is subscription only. I'm not at the game (one trip to Brisbane Road this season is enough for me), so will probably have to follow updates on Twitter like everyone else
  4. Brooke Aspin & Naomi Layzell selected for England U23 squad, alongside a fair few former City players Abi Harrison, Jamie-Lee Napier & Amy Rodgers all selected for Scotland squad. Great to see Harrison back with Scotland, let's hope she doesn't get injured with them again!
  5. until
Tottenham Hotspur Women v Bristol City Women Brisbane Road Stadium Continental Tyres League Cup group stage
  6. There's also this video which was filmed by a father & son duo who asked me to appear in it during half time. They both have (respective) connections to Liverpool & Swindon Town so it was hard for them (or at least the boy) to pick a side to win! Contains some camera angles & shots that were much better than the rain-drenched camera used for the FA Player coverage
  7. Haven't been on OTIB since Sunday so only getting round to posting now. Disappointed that the supporters coach didn't go ahead but I said to myself I wanted to do all the WSL away games this season; and a few others wanted to go to Everton too. Walton Hall Park has a real RHPC feel to it; just a shame the weather wasn't so great! Everton fans have their own singing section, and had good banter. No mention of any 10 point deduction in singing (despite being tempted), but I did sing after our first goal "Your city is red, your city is red, just like Bristol, your city is red" Good to equalise twice; a well-deserved point. Everton have some real tall players in their squad...
  8. England squad announced today for upcoming fixtures against Netherlands at Wembley & Scotland at Hampden Park. Not much changes made; but Ellie Roebuck has been dropped from the goalkeepers, and Beth Mead returns after coming back from ACL injury
  9. Me neither. I have just checked the BBC One/Two schedules & it is on neither channel. I hope other fans who want to watch the game on TV are also aware...
  10. Clark makes her WSL away debut this season. Napier returns. Furness missing from the squad KO 1pm, live on FA Player
  11. Former City goalkeeper Benedicte Haaland is back...
  12. Former Bristol Academy (as it was then) player Sophie Ingle broke the appearance record for the WSL today, in Chelsea's 5-1 win against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge...
  13. Nope, they played in their (yellow) third kit for the West Ham game. The original question (below) was about the (black) away kit
  14. Links to audio from Lauren Smith's press conference... Biggest takeaway from what Lauren Smith has said is that Kaylan Marckese is injured and won't be available for this Sunday's game. Liv Clark will start https://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/smiths-everton-press-conference/
  15. Coach tickets & match tickets now on sale for Liverpool away. Away fans have their own stand
  16. Update on travel for the Everton fixture this Sunday https://www.bristolcitysupporters.org/city-women-away-travel-update-everton-2023/
  17. Harrison makes her first start of the season, Marckese returns to goal, Morgan is playing in defence. Napier unfortunately misses out today. Woolley could make her first WSL appearance this season today if she comes on. Aspin, Connolly & Rodgers start again having done so last Sunday & on Thursday in the Conti Cup KO 2pm, live on FA Player if you're not at Ashton Gate. I'm in Frankfurt, Germany right now so I won't be able to watch the game (I'm about to watch my NFL team New England Patriots play!)
  18. https://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/smiths-aston-villa-press-conference/ Some good updates from this press conference. Confirmed that Satara Murray is currently out injured (I did notice she was missing from the last couple of games), Jamie-Lee Napier picked up something in the warm-up against Arsenal but could be fit for Sunday, and that she hasn't met Liam Manning yet - but said that he needed the time to settle & focus on his team ahead of the game against QPR
  19. Blackstenius makes it 3-1 at the end of added time
