  1. Aston Villa away match & coach tickets go on sale from Thursday at 2pm. With the men's game against Leeds United being moved to Friday 2nd February, there is no longer a clash with this fixture Coach is organised by the SC&T & football club, with tickets only £16 https://www.bcfc.co.uk/city-women-news/aston-villa-women-away-set-for-priority-sale/
  2. From what I can see, it looks like it's just the Lansdown Stand that's only open, so I'd expect about 4000 or so
  3. Massive. Could be a big blow in Chelsea's chances of retaining the title. Also means that she won't play again under Emma Hayes as she's leaving in the summer. It also means that she won't face off against her fiancée Kristie Mewis when their respective clubs play each other in the FA Cup this weekend - which is what some fans (based on what I've seen online anyway) were looking forward to when Mewis joined West Ham
  4. Eliot Caton announced as left the club to join London City Lionesses https://www.linkedin.com/posts/eliot-caton-6a254124_i-am-pleased-to-announce-i-have-joined-the-activity-7149380363394457600-UAmr "I am pleased to announce I have joined the new journey of London City Lionesses as it becomes part of the Washington Spirit and Olympic Lyonnais Feminin family. A role closer to home and one I can play an integral part in its evolution under the ownership and guidance of Michele Kang!"
  5. I haven't heard London City referred to as Millwall in ages. That made me chuckle I don't follow the NWSL but I probably assume she didn't get much game time. But I'm guessing she wanted to swap one LA (somewhere in the same state as Los Angeles) for another LA (playing near Long Ashton). I'll get my coat...
  6. Former London City Lionesses Shae Yanez has become the team's first signing of the transfer window, joining from San Diego Wave. A transfer fee was paid. An impressive signing, but unless something has happened to Liv Clark, Benedicte Haaland and/or Fran Bentley on her recovery, I have no idea why we have yet another goalkeeper.
  7. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/davebartoncomms_i-am-pleased-to-announce-that-i-have-been-activity-7148329128708960256-BZ2d I am pleased to announce that I have been appointed to a new role as Head of Communications for the Bristol Sport Group. After five years as Head of Communications for Bristol City Football Club, I am moving to a wider role within the Sporting Group, which includes City Men and Women’s football teams, Bristol Bears Men and Women’s rugby teams, Bristol Flyers basketball, the club’s respective charitable foundations and Ashton Gate Stadium. I take up my new role on January 8th. I have thoroughly enjoyed by time with Bristol City and have been honoured to work with highly dedicated and skilled players and staff. In particular, I want to thank the Bristol City communications team present and past for the journey we have been on together, which included triple back-to-back gold awards for the best content in the English Football League and established our highly-respected reputation for communications within the EFL. It is now time to bring my experience in football, rugby and stadium communications into a wider remit as we continue to grow as a group. These are exciting times at Ashton Gate, including a world-class sporting quarter development for the city containing a 4000-seater home for the Flyers. The football club are in the process of appointing a new Head of Communications and I am looking forward to working with my successor. I have no doubt that Bristol City will ultimately achieve promotion to the Premier League and I have been privileged to have served the Robins. Up the City!
  8. WSL fixture at home to Liverpool on Sunday April 21st has been moved forward a day to Saturday 20th due to Bristol Bears having a game selected for TV. As it stands, this will cause a clash for some supporters, as the men's team are away to Norwich City on the 20th
  9. Kaylan Marckese has returned to Arsenal to complete rehab following surgery on what has now been confirmed on the club's website as an ACL injury
  10. https://www.bcfc.co.uk/city-women-news/ward-pens-professional-contract/ On her 18th birthday, Mari Ward signs her first professional contract!
  11. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67698978 From earlier in the week. Transfer window now open "Bristol City have been in talks with England midfielder Katie Bradley, 22, who is currently playing in Florida with UCF Knights"
  12. I'm glad that someone was able to respond here when asking for a date
  13. With the AGM taking place this month, the board had agreed that there would be no regular monthly meeting (which is usually on the first Wednesday of the month, so would have taken place today)
  14. Maddi Wilde has posted on her Instagram story today of being back at the RHPC. Maybe her season-long loan spell at London City Lionesses has come to an end...!?
  15. From what I saw from soccerdonna.de (where the graphic is from), I think the stats were for league games only, so didn't include any cup games at the RHPC Also, you can just call me Shahan

  17. Bristol City have the fourth highest average attendance in Europe...behind Arsenal, Manchester United & Barcelona This graphic is from the German website soccerdonna.de
  18. Secret Santa with Abi Harrison & Amalie Thestrup. I feel bad for Jesse Woolley, where none of them could suggest a present for her. But at least both seem to acknowledge Lauren Smith's new touchline attire this season, which is very different from the standard Hummel/O'Neills gear that she previously wore
  19. Looks like West Ham are trying to save their season...
  20. Final Cidereds issue of 2023 available at tonight's game! Also available from www.bristolcityprogrammes.com
  21. TV picks for the first weekend in February in the WSL made. Aston Villa v Bristol City unaffected, therefore this will remain at 12.30pm KO on Saturday 3rd February. Live on FA Player for those that can't make it...
  22. For those not aware, match & coach tickets for Brighton away are now on sale, and have sold really well! For me, it'll be my first time at Crawley's ground since City men had that 1-1 draw...and everyone heard the news that Colin Daniel's goal relegated the blue & white out of the football league...
