  1. What a comeback though. Team were much better in the second half
  2. Today's squad. Kick off 2pm, live on the FA Player!

  4. Probably as a one-off, just as a way to say thank you to their fans. Women's football isn't expensive like the top levels of men's football is. I've already got my season card for City Women, which doubles as a membership card when it comes to City men & Bears rugby ?
  5. Crystal Palace announced on their Twitter that everyone who attends the game this Sunday will have to pre-register attendance due to the club's COVID protocols. Also, it appears that; for this game at least; attendance is free!? https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/crystal-palace-football-club-women-vs-bristol-city-wfc-tickets-168331248295?ref=estw So for those who planned on going, now you know! The game is live on FA Player as well...

  8. His replacement has now been announced, albeit with a different job title. Grace Williams previously did the same role (commonly referred to as "general manager") at Watford https://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/williams-appointed-city-women-operations-manager/
  9. Gavin Marshall announced today as the new Chairperson of the Bristol City Women board, a role previously occupied by Mark Ashton https://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/marshall-appointed-bristol-city-women-chairperson/
  10. According to various players' Instagram stories, media day is today at Ashton Gate. New photos/GIFs etc will be coming soon!
  11. From recent history of Chelsea loanees heading to the West Country, hoping this new signing will be just as well!
  12. She played in the pre-season friendly last Sunday, but Lia Cataldo signing has been made official. Was part of the team at Leicester that won promotion to the WSL last season. Hoping she can bring that luck to City!
  13. Don't think the players have had official photos/media done yet. Most likely should be done before the start of the season, proper
  14. Very surprised with the news! Although her coaching style (and certain interview style) was very divisive in the last couple of seasons. I genuinely feel Matt Beard should have been given a longer contract had the club known Tanya would not come back (so soon). Interesting to see if Lauren Smith will now be offered the head coach role beyond the end of the season
  15. What a ridiculous thing to ask @Taunton_BCFC. Your logic doesn't work as the Bears women's team also appear on the Bears' website For everyone else that actually wants to follow City women, you can visit the thread here https://www.otib.co.uk/index.php?/topic/205197-bristol-city-women-and-the-wsl/
  16. FT 2-2! Two goals from Abi Harrison saves the game.
  17. Squad for today's pre-season friendly against Lewes at RHPC. Some new shirt numbers, a lot of new players, and one I'm not even aware of (Cataldo, who I think was at Leicester last season). Aimee Palmer named captain. No Fran Bentley in squad (so that song can't be sung). I'm not watching the game due to self-isolating until Monday. Hope whoever is at RHPC enjoys the game!
  18. Great to see the club & FirstBus announce matchday bus services for home games at the Robins High Performance Centre, giving fans who don't drive more chances to attend https://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/city-women-matchday-bus-service-launched/
  19. Tickets on sale for the first home league games. £7 advance/£10 on the day for adults. Interesting things to point out: All kick offs are 3pm, like they were at Stoke Gifford. Durham game is midday kick off, which would be fun for anyone travelling down that day. Blackburn game will be at Ashton Gate...
  20. Emma Bissell has announced on her Instagram she has moved to the United States to play for Florida State University. Would have thought she'd stay, but the US college system is great for a lot of women's footballers. Best of luck to her
  21. https://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/johnson-joins-city-women-ranks/ Great signing! Melissa Johnson scored a fair few goals while at Sheffield United. Hoping she can repeat the same for us at City
  22. First game of the season away against Crystal Palace confirmed as kicking off on Sunday 29/08/2021 at 2pm, live on FA Player. Looks like not all Championship games will be broadcast live on the FA Player. Hoping Robins TV would be able to broadcast if possible, but at the same time, will encourage fans who can to attend games
  23. Sophie Whitehouse officially announced today, as well as Jennifer Foster being new assistant head coach. Very surprised about Fran Bentley joining us as well!
  24. BBC Sport journalist Emma Sanders has tweeted hinting that City women may sign even more players. Interesting to see Sophie Whitehouse join as goalkeeper to replace Baggaley (one Sophie for another!?) Also good to hear of a pre-season game at the RHPC on Sunday August 15th! Bit weird it's against the team who the first home game in the league will be against, but it's the first pre-season game City Women would have played in front of fans for a couple of years now (most pre-season games in women's football were usually BCD, even before COVID) https://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/city-women-welcome-lewes-in-pre-season/
  25. I was today years old when I found out that George Ferguson was a co-founder of Bristol Beer Factory. Hoping the bar inside is still unchanged; or changed for the better (if possible)
