For those still following along, the semi-finals & first legs of the promotion/relegation play-offs are happening today.
Think the semi finals are on BBC iPlayer. Not as much media attention as England got knocked out already

Naomi Layzell started in the friendly between England U23s & Spain U23s this morning. Unfortunately, it was a 3-1 loss, but at some point this week did give this interview Sky Sports

Villa seem ok with the Bescot I think and I believe many other clubs avoid using the main stadium.
Probably a good financial and possibly surface resting reason for that.
I don't know if clubs choose to "avoid" or not. With the exception of West Ham, all WSL clubs have had at least one game in the main stadium. Arsenal have made an effort to have more games at the Emirates, same for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Of course, clubs have to consider costs, staffing etc when playing at stadiums
Quite a few clubs in the Championship also play in their main stadium too (Birmingham, Southampton, Sheffield United) & others have had some games in their main stadium (Blackburn, Crystal Palace, Watford, to name a few).

England senior squad & U23 squad are both out in Spain right now. Naomi Layzell joined with the senior squad in training. Don't know if she'll get a senior call up with the friendlies that England have in the next few days...

May be an injury replacement, but the top goalscorer for the team this season finally gets a call up to the Denmark squad

The players wore black armbands today as this was the first game since Villa. I expect there to be a proper tribute at the next home game against Brighton in two weeks time

Any idea why we had two keepers (Bentley and Clark) on the bench?!
Bentley is coming back from a long injury, and hasn't played a game since the season opener. I think Clark is fit but Yanez seems to be preferred to start at the moment

Not sure why we're gonna be in the third kit when it was fine for the men's team to wear the red kit at the King Power earlier this season.
However, the women's team have got most of their points wearing the third kit. So maybe it's lucky...

And then you recruit your arse off to try and get a team capable of staying up.
Me last season when supporting City Women...
(To answer the original question, I want the men's team to finish as high as possible) -

Abi played against England, thought she did OK when she was on the pitch. Good to see three City players though.

Lauren Smith's press conference has just come out, which mentions that Abi didn't get a call-up due to picking up an ankle injury last week (therefore won't be available this weekend).
She also confirmed that there was an in-house game played last week, which included some academy players.
Also, Sarah Stratigakis is out for this week due to illness, and everyone else still injured (Fran Bentley, Satara Murray, Rachel Furness etc) are still injured- 1

Tracey Crouch, the MP who wrote the fan led review, has announced she will not be running in the next General Election
I think we can agree for those that are interested in this topic to express her thanks for getting the fan led review set up in the first place - leading to the subsequent developments

What is her injury?
I believe it was a hamstring at first, but surely she would have been back by now. Maybe there has been a development or setback which the public are not aware of...

Match tickets for both of these games go on sale from Tuesday 2pm.
What the tweet preview doesn't mention (but the website articles do) is that the corresponding coaches have a 24 hour priority window for ST holders to book their seats

Will be my first visit to Hillsborough this weekend. For games in Yorkshire, I usually go up the day/night before & stay with a City exile who now lives in Leeds & would come along.
Unfortunately he's busy this weekend & so I'm doing the coach travel!
