  1. The decision to keep Simpson over him was a joke and in no way could have been in relation to performances on the pitch. Getting rid of "obviously not deadwood" Lansbury and replacing him injury prone has beens was also an error. False economy. Not just saying it in hindsight I said it at the time.
  2. We have been poorly organised and drilled defensively as a TEAM for most of the season. The constant blaming of individuals is a nice deflection but you don't have to be a highly qualified coach to have seen the lack of any organisation when we don't have the ball. leading to our defenders having to defend in "Alamo", last ditch style for long periods of games and in that scenario eventually some individual mistakes are bound to happen. Better coaching and a decent defensive midfielder (Ben Pearson like) would help immensely.
  3. Academic because Weimann will be scoring 20 goals for a different team in all probability.
  4. and lack of organisation when we don't have the ball. Has been pub league standard until the last 3 games.
  5. How have we done in relation to our budget this season ?
  6. The players have to agree, can't force a loan or sale to somewhere they don't want to go. Nagy wanted out and a return to Italy. Bakinson wanted out, handed in a transfer request last Summer.
  7. Kalas and Weimann will definitely receive opportunities to move on.
  8. Our organisation, tactics and performance versus Peterborough would have made us the worse team in the League let alone the Division. Opposition coaches must have a field day when studying how we organise when without the ball. Much improved in the last 2 games happy to concede. Changes were made after the Posh debacle for sure.
  9. Well he has been unable (on the whole) to get the best out of this squad, we have underachieved. If he is unable to change the squad significantly and bring in players who buy into his apparent philosophy then we are bang in trouble. Looks like another year of "not on the bus" and "they".
  10. Bentley Kakas Klose Baker DaSilva HNM James Williams Weimann Martin Semenyo Subs. from. Oleary, Atkinson, Tanner, Pring, King, Bakinson, ODowda, Wells, Palmer. Scott, Benarous etc We have a stronger squad them them for sure. You know it, I know it. Your obsession with pretending that our squad is weaker than it is to suit a narrative is embarrassing. You actually said that Luton have a better squad than us FFS !!
  11. Regardless of Derby we have a solid mid table Championship squad and have underperformed this season. No "Nadine Dorries" style defence can hide that.
  12. Talked to many players lately ? otherwise just a guess. Certainly on this forum most wouldn't want LJ back and are in full "Nadine Doris mode" in relation to the current Manager. But in the "real world" of football fans not so sure.
  13. This is brilliant !! Sycophantic Fanboy meltdown.
  14. His son plays in the Academy (very decent player) so maybe not connected. They are actively recruiting ex players though- Bell and Hewlett for example.
  15. Or he gave them clear, calm and concise instructions. We looked far better organised 2nd half, especially without the ball. Unlikely that was "shouted" into them.
  16. Not going today but continue the organisation and game plan from the second half versus Stoke and we have a decent chance. predicted - Bentley Cundy Atkinson Klose Scott DaSilva HNM James Weimann Wells Martin 2-1 win.
  17. You have to factor in the players desire to leave. Webster and Brownhill for example were offered Premier League Football. Far to easy to say we shouldn't be selling our best players. The reinvestment was poor overall though I agree.
  18. The club made £26.20 million in PROFIT on transfer fees during this time period and several of the players signed are still at the club and have value. We have paid and received loan fees of course. So lets knock it down to £20 million in PROFIT with Kalas, Bentley, HNM, DaSilva and Weimann with value in the transfer market. Need to look at transfers as a whole not pick and chose to suit agenda.
  19. 2016/17 Transfers paid - £11.34 million Transfers received - £12.80 million 2017/2018 Transfers paid - £12.09 million Transfers received - £2.97 million 2018/2019 Transfer paid - £9.14 million Transfers received - £26.55 million 2019/2020 Transfers paid - £29.66 million Transfers received - £43.86 million 2020/2021 Transfers paid - £0 Transfers received - £3.69 million 2021/2022 Transfers paid - £1.44 million Transfers received - £0 Total over the period = Transfers paid - £63.67 million Transfers received - £89.87 million * A Transfer fee PROFIT of £26.20 million. * Obviously we paid and received loan fees not counted. We also have several first team players still at the club who are of considerable value signed during this time. This figure conveniently missed out on virtually every spreadsheet I see on here.
  20. Different type of "gathering" I believe !
