  1. Not currently. Will either pick and chose or wait to see if there is hope on the horizon later.
  2. transfer profit means little if we are not going to reinvest it wisely Yep that's my point but get tired of the same old myth peddled on here by some that we lost money on transfers in that period just to suit a spreadsheet or two. We made tens of millions in transfer profit and spent that money poorly on the whole.
  3. Also made £20 million(ish) profit on fees alone and several of those players are still at the club and have some value to sell - Kalas, Bentley, Weimann and HNM for example. The reinvestment was the really poor bit. Often misrepresented or omitted because it doesn't suit a certain narrative. Always question a spreadsheet.
  4. Burnley just missed a penalty after the player brought down took it. Would good to see the stats on if this happens more often than if a different player takes it. Seems to occur more often to me. Adrenalin rush, slight knock etc
  5. Lansbury also looked poor in "our" team.
  6. Yep for his own sanity and self respect. A League One team is going to get a very decent player on the cheap.
  7. The Happy Clapper Sycophants do inhabit a strange world.
  8. Dean Ashton gave a very accurate on Quest - The players will totally relax after achieving safety, booking holidays, avoiding injury and going through the motions etc. Mentally switch off after intense season. Not what fans want to hear but that is real life. Our manager has already said he wanted the season over last week, so most will follow his example. What it might mean some high scoring/exciting games but as for targets they are for fans only at this point.
  9. Cocaine. Spineless cubicle dwellers taking orders from middle managers all week sniff their way to bravery and stupidity.
  10. I wouldn't assume Cundy is staying.
  11. He will be getting some decent offers and we will be limited wage budget wise. Can't see him rushing to sign but not out of the question I would think.
  12. A squad worse than Lutons according to our resident fanalyst and pretend scout though. So what could the Manager possibly do ? Very good second half yesterday making fools of the posters who perpetuate the myth that this squad is uncoachable and not good enough for this Division. Some good work has happened on the training pitch since last Saturdays debacle. 100% better and should be the standard.
  13. You need to read some of the threads, you might be surprised. Obviously posted this before you did, which is a shame.
  14. Some of those middle aged tosser types can be found on here on occasion also. Often read comments on posts glorifying past football violence and pretending they were actually involved, giving away fans "slaps" etc. Toe curling, sad and pathetic in equal measure.
  15. In a nutshell you do agree the players are good enough.
  16. Didn't NP allude to him and his staff sitting down this week to work on how to change things ? Sure I read that somewhere. Second half especially we looked extremely well drilled and organised, players knowing their jobs and responsibilities. Their was an obvious game plan and strangely I never though we were going to lose (even after we scored !). This is the sort of performance I thought NP was going bring when he walked in, not the omnishambles of last week. What today does do is dispatch any of those ludicrous ideas that this squad of players isn't good enough to compete in this Division. Really good and if that is now the default performance have no problem with him staying.
  17. Not included on the spreadsheet.
  18. Really good second half there. Looked organised and drilled. The sort of performance we should be putting in regularly and goes to show these players are good enough.
  19. Far too passive and turgid in midfield. Semenyo playing injured/not match fit is odd. Stoke are us bad as us to fair though. We do look better organised without the ball than the previous few games though, less good going forward.
  20. Can't take any of his post match rants seriously, nor do the players I suspect.
  21. He was playing with injuries his whole time with us. Similar to what Kalas has done this season so difficult to judge. Glenn Humphries.
  22. Not losing the West Brom game was a massive moment for him.
  23. I would suspect that their chosen replacement has said "Yes".
  24. The team I selected earlier in this thread for a start. There is no expectations on results, that has been clear all season. We are safe from relegation (apart from a million too one event) The Manager has made clear he will have little/no money to spend so several of our current youngsters are going to have to play regularly next season. Don't wait to acclimatize them, do it now when results don't matter. Idehen, Conway, Bell, Owers and Benerous could/should all get decent game time in the last few games this season. The time to experiment is now.
