I think I get the idea here- we seem good at winning games we really shouldn’t have a realistic chance in- Southampton/ Watford/ Boro etc. Manning is making us play SO badly that we don’t actually have a realistic chance in any of them. He’s a clever dick him

I think we’re all not used to a player getting the ball and running towards the opposition

I actually thought he looked composed and classy in the ten minutes against Southampton but dire today, no pun intended. Not a fun game to chuck him into, but he didn’t look any more developed/ dangerous than Yeboah used to

O’Leary, Vyner and Dickie aside, you could make a justified argument replacing any other player in that lineup, and I mean that in a good way. Proper squad depth

I came on to write exactly this. I don’t care that Leeds are better than us all over the pitch- I expected that. Just not sure why we’re helping them out at every opportunity.

Greg Goodridges debut still lives in my head rent free, despite being 9 at the time. My young eyes thought he was actually world class, AND he was in the Premier League 95/96 sticker album, albeit on the QPR bench and not as an actual sticker. What pedigree.

Anyone feeling uncharacteristically confident today? Hoping to see more of the Tanner/Mcrorie right side, at least while Sykes is out- thought that looked promising, a few rusty touches aside. Feels like we’ve got some decent options from the bench as well, albeit limited defense at present. Feeling in good fettle since Tuesday, some good squad options, plus we’ve only just comfortably thrashed them away 4-1 so I’m going to go for a classic 0-3 Watford, to really bring me back down to earth.

Top pro, great guy. I remember when we beat Hull 5-0 at the end of a few seasons ago and WSM were flying, I really thought it had finally clicked and we'd be unbeatable the season after. Spoiler- we weren't! Hope he gets a decent go of it at WBA - quick dig seems to suggest they've either played a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-4-1-1 in recent games. Reckon he could still do a job there.

Can't really judge this departure until we know who else is coming in in his place (I'm assuming there's SOMEONE!). He's not had a vintage campaign by his standards, but I thought he still had something to offer, though Manning's system doesn't seem to fit him as well as the front three of W-S-M did. The fact he's going to a team comfortably above us in the league suggests he's not done yet either. Seeing as we aren't likely to be involved, would love him to end the season living closer to home and with a playoff winners medal in the cabinet. Auf wiedersehn Andi, du bist ein robin.

Fair play- bet he has to drive past a couple of more successful clubs than city on his way down! Mate of mines dad used to drive up from Cornwall for every home game, good bit of dedication, especially seeing as I live by the Luckwell pub and I have to convince myself to go down if it’s pissing down.

My season ticket is in the middle of a punch of POTD tickets in the Dolman and there’s a group of (what I’d guess is!) Polish guys who’ve started rocking up in full city hats and scarves combos, and seem to enjoy the games more than everyone else around them. Had some Americans and Chinese groups for the odd game too. Think it’s a good sign if non-Bristolians fancy a game down the gate (as long as it doesn’t go to Man Utd levels)

When I was driving in from Cardiff a few years back I used to park up by my dads at the Cross Hands end of Bishopsworth Road- always spaces going on the side streets, but a fair walk down (and worse back). That price is robbery though- any joy on the driveway rental sites? I know a lot on Duckmoor and the surrounding do it
