  1. Started really well here. Also what a run from Vyner!
  2. VAR would have a field day with these challenges and off the ball incidents! Game is getting spicy!!
  3. Wonder if we should take Williams off. At risk of a red. Move TGH central and get Cornick/Bell on the right
  4. I like Tanner centrally. Need to ride out this pressure until half time. Playing well
  5. Change in formation?! Knight dropped, likely for fitness reasons, the bloke has played most games and doesn't stop! Did look leggy vs Preston. Excited to see McCrorie in action. Looking forward to this, despite watching from the settee this time! Coyr
  6. I would have said something in the 20s/30s and then probably take 10 (King) at the end of the season but isn't 7 available? If so then that! He's no. 30 at Hull but Nelson has that
  7. Good team and bench looks more solid. Really excited to see McCrorie. If we can play anywhere near as good as we did at West Ham I fancy us today vs a Preston in poor form. However, this is the sort of team we tend to struggle against and break down. Let's see. COYR
  8. Wow. What a game. What a day. What a result! Superb team performance all around. No weaknesses. Greet team effort, solidarity and spirit. Replicate this in the league City haha Max with some big saves in the first half. Pring, brilliant and did well against a top player in Bowen. Tanner solid. Centre halves dealt with the physicality. Thought our centre midfielders were brilliant - didn't look out of place. Especially Williams what a performance and assist! Wide player did good and Conway took his chance brilliantly. Thoroughly deserved the goal. Despite a nervy first 10mins, we went head to head throughout. Switched off for their goal a bit but hell of a pass from their player. Played good football, nice link ups and rarely hoofed it up. 2nd half we were the better team - imagine the scenes if we went ahead! Being sat amongst the West Ham fans, heard a few saying we were a good team and praised our support (City dancing around). Speaking of our supporters - wow. Unreal. Boy was it hard to contain myself went TC scored Deserving of a replay and no reason why we can't win it at a packed Ashton Gate. West Ham a bit unlucky with their injuries too. On my way to Victoria station. Safe trip back all. COYR
  9. Another great write up, Jerseybean. I have been anticipating this match for a while now, as this fixture has close connections with me, so thought I'd write and share my own personal account. I'll be attending the game. However, sat in the home end! My old man, who is also coming, is a West Ham fan. His story was around the ages of 10-11, he received his first "proper" leather, black & white football as a present, and took it everywhere with him. He just so happened one day to come across the legendary Geoff Hurst inside a sports shop, who was playing for West Ham at the time (not long after the '66 world cup) and he signed my dad's football! Henceforth igniting his commitment and support to the club! Despite being a WH fan, my dad would regularly attend Ashton Gate when he worked in Bedminster. He would also take me to matches when I was a bit older. He never pushed me to support WH like him, and despite placing my loyalties to Bristol City (no regrets ), he still happily comes along to City matches when we go down together. I've only watched this fixture live once before, at Ashton Gate, in 2012. Game finished 1-1. I was behind the goal where Skuse scored the equaliser and I remember my dad clapping, but muttering displeasure towards Rob Green in goal for not saving the shot! I also believe Maynard was playing that game for WH, as well as a young Henri Lansbury! I've also only once visited Upton Park, prior to it's demolition. A good, atmospheric, old school stadium. This will be both mine and my dad's first visit to the London Stadium, so we are both very excited being a great opportunity to see our respective teams. Although it can be viewed to some as contentious supporting "more than one team", but due to the above, if asked, I'd have to pick West Ham as second. I'm sure my dad would say the same about us/City I'll be sat near the corner by the City fans. Can't wait for the game and hearing the voices of 9k City fans. Excited to see how we do against prem opposition, and also with VAR in play! Safe journey to travelling fans. Enjoy. And COYRs
  10. Damn. We just really struggle against teams set up like this, frustrating
  11. Once again we just struggle to break down a Birmingham side. Good possession but did very little in the final third. Certainly do need some attacking creativity in the January window if possible. As Nige said; if you can't win, don't lose. Take the away point and onto the next.
  12. Williams has been brilliant again, fairplay to him
  13. Was just thinking it would be nice to win by a decent margin for the goal difference, rather than by a goal, and we just made it 4-1. Absolutely brilliant!
  14. If Plymouth can get a result at Cardiff (come on Plymouth), and other results stay the same, a win here will see us up 6 places to 7th
  15. Great tenacity from Conway. So much better that we're actually taking shots within range, you just never know (deflection, own goal, goalkeeper parrying) and we're getting goals from it. Mehmeti playing great and creating chances, more goals will come for him. Coyr
  16. What happened is we scored 2 goals, got 3 points, climbed the table and silenced some doubters (for now) . Happy days!
  17. Swansea gone Infront Vs Preston - we are now 8th!!
  18. Great high press and pressure again. Knight - what a signing. Come on lads
  19. Keep shooting at this keeper!! Would love to see Nahki get the winner
