Here we go, let's start the Pearson out debate before a ball has been kicked in anger.

Unlucky for you but imo we will have a good season and he will be offered a contract extension.

I don't think he raises a bad point.

I actually think mid to low mid table is acceptable this season. We have a young side, still some big wages that need moving and not in a position to buy. Next year however with the big money players off the books, and the young talent sold, he will have the opportunity to strengthen and bring in the quality he needs, that is the key season in my opinion, next season. This season is still very much part of the transition.

    Ole

Not sure what to do,my personal options

    1) drive(or share)

    2) stay friday and saturday night

    3) Bristol City coach

    4) Not going will not be an option

Hopefully the strike/s might be called off

Something out of my control, but COULD the games be stream  LIVE?

or move the fixture/s to the Sunday.

I could happily give you a lift there, but I will be staying over on the Sat night to meet friends on the Sunday.

  3. I will be driving up to Hull on the Saturday for the game, but I will be staying overnight and going to meet a mate in Lincolnshire on the Sunday. So if anyone needs a lift up (I live in Dulverton), I can offer someone a lift, but I probably can't help getting back.

Don't remember a white and green kit, but there was definitely a white and grey kit.

Yes that was the one I meant, I an see it's grey, but it does definitely have a bit of a green look to me still ?

Well at the moment I'm going with an opinion of its better than the home shirt.

I like it. It reminds me of the white one we had with DAS on it. I wish it still fit me, as it had a nice material which was comfy to wear, if you're not athletic if you get my drift. I also like the white, I think its much nicer than Purple and Lime, which I know a lot of fans love, but its not for me. I've found in recent years some shirts have not been comfortable to wear,I like to wear an XL as it usually fits nicely and I can tuck it in, and it feels a bit baggy, whilst a Large would be a bit huggy. But recently even the XL shirts have been designed if you're an athlete and just are not comfy to wear. This looks like its similar to the old stuff I like to wear.

The home shirt isn't for me, I get many like it. But this reminds me of shirts I did like and I am glad we've gone down this route again.

2008-2009 Away I liked, 2004-2005 away I liked, There was another I liked, which was a white and green sort of one, in the Phil Jevons sort of time playing for us, but can't find a picture of it anywhere, and my one is long gone binned now!

Doing anything these days is expensive.

4 tickets for a show at Hippodrome in Sept(no such things as child tickets), Upper circle so not the most expensive. Still with fees, £315.

My eldest going on a night out in Bristol easily spending £150 per night if it involves a nightclub. Life is just expensive now unfortunately.

As for the miscalculation of attendance. It's based on tickets sold, not how many actually turn up.

The crowd against Sunderland will still look relatively empty in the home ends as ST's will be on holiday. They will still count to the attendance however.

Staggering someone could justify that. After bills and food and taxes, I would be amazed if I even had that left at the end of a month! For me it's a nice long walk with the Dog and take in the Exmoor scenery. It only costs fresh air and time, and you get to appreciate the world. I couldn't imagine going out and spending £150, unless it involved paying for fuel, which at the going rate, £150 in fuel might get me to Exeter the way things are going (about 20 miles).

  7. As a non season ticket holder, who simply can't afford one and wont see more than 2/3 games this season so not sure a Membership is viable, if anyone who is a ST holder and doesn't have two friends to invite on the 12.50 game, I would be very happy if someone could help me get one of the £12.50 tickets in the Dolman Wings, would happily pay someone £17.50, so they can get a pint or something as a thank you. No worries if there is no one who can do it, but thought I would pop a message out there in case there was someone who would be able to to assist. Thanks

  8. Anyone know anyone doing this, can they dm me. I paid someone for it, had the service for like 2 months and lost log in, they are uncontactable and disappeared off telegram. So no way of logging in or contacting the person. So put it down to being ripped off! Luckily was only £60.

Without wanting to patronise, or to tell you how to live your life, had you considered setting aside the payment you would have made each month over this season? Possibly then this time next year you would have enough (or almost enough if prices rise a little) to get an ST for the 2023/24 season. If you do it into a decent savings account you might even earn enough interest for a pint?

    Would that be possible?

That's all well and good, but from 2018 to 2 months ago, my monthly earnings was £0!

  11. Got a feeling this might be Southgate's last game in charge. We are going to be relegated from this group and it could see us no longer seeded in competitions unless we win out last two games in September. We've looked disjointed and poor and we have been poor for a while now. Southgate has done well, but I think its time for a change now. These 4 games lately have been awful. We've gone from being free scoring and looking accomplished, to looking like a team that would struggle to beat two of the three home nations at present!

  12. Kinda gutted, wanted to get a season ticket this season, but simply can't afford it. Not in one hit, not a member or previous season ticket holder for the last 5 years for personal reasons and not been able to work for months so finances were really tight. Fortunately things have improved lately and had a enough money to get one if instalments were available but sadly not, so wont be many games I go to this year as POTD prices are too expensive for me to travel from Dulverton.

I thought he was off to Blackpool.

He is! Hence my post, did you even read the thread, the OP was stating that DH was getting the Blackpool job! I was merely pointing out to him, if he thinks that, he should back him at 16s, to which I state my money with be on LR!

It helps if you read posts you know ......

I saw that @robin for life was recommending people bet on Dean Holden getting the job,

Excuse me??? I think you may wish to read my comment again! I said to the opening poster who alluded that DH was getting the job, that if he thought that he should bet him at 16/1! If you read my post, I clearly state that I expected Liam Rosenior to get the job. Try reading what someone posts in future, rather than making a sweeping statement. Thanks
