Penalty taker ?
Yeah, think he would've taken a few. 15 goals for a CB at any level is pretty bloody impressive, even more so without penalties as per Flint.

Has a centre half ever scored as many goals in a season for any team as he did in our double year, non-penalties as well

I listened to this interview with it playing in the background, but did I hear right when JL said that we're looking for outside investment, with no mentioned from him of looking to sell?
Could I be putting two and two together and thinking that SL\JL probably don't want to fund the transfers (certainly not as much as they have done) and would be reliant on someone else to come in and foot the bill? But until then we keep spending what we make off of transfer sells?
Yes, and this is the most likely outcome IMO. New investor taking a controlling stake while the Lansdowns maintain a smaller holding.

I can see why people are suggesting La Boqueria but honestly Mercat de Santa Caterina is better and much better value. Agree with others as well regarding beaches to the north. Some lovely places and easily accessible via Renfe, should cost about 10 euros return from Placa Catalunya. I would recommend Calella & Pineda de Mar.

I don't think Rushon Walker-Brown has played much for the u21s this season but see he made the bench. Does anyone know what age group he is as I don't recall him being in the teams for the u18s FA youth cup games either.

Yes that’s right. Remember George Dowling was same age group and stuck with city despite interest from Arsenal & more while Jacob & Herbie left.
Fairly sure he’s a Scaffolder now isn’t he?

I think SL may have been at the Blackburn game but I'm not certain.
He will have seen some decent intent if so as well as the obvious 5-0..but he cannot have failed to notice a half-empty ground too.
He was definitely at the Blackburn game. He was at Huddersfield too. He won't be at Rotherham so unless we are getting a pre recorded interview we won't be hearing from him at the end of this season.

I spoke to one of the NP coaching staff about Sykes and he said that they made a point of bigging him up because the player was too modest, and maybe didn't realise he had the potential to play in in the Premier League.
I’ve said this to other city fans I know. Given his versatility and his athleticism , if he was a few years younger I also think he’d be in with a shout of Premier league.

I wonder what the thinking is behind this? Is it really going to save that much money by not sending PDFs.

Brownhill. Complete box to box midfielder, great technically and capable of scoring goals. Never been suitably replaced.

Meerholz is the one who I’d try to expose / give an opportunity too over the last 6 games.
Agreed, made the bench at West Brom away IIRC. If we are going to persist with the current formation then worth some minutes in one of the holding roles. Also, I believe he can play and has looked comfortable operating in defence for the u21s when required.

Not soft in my opinion, was pulling Conway by the shorts
Yes, have now seen the highlights and definitely should have been given.

The one on Dickie? Ref had best view.
I was on about Conway one although haven't watched the game back so maybe it would've been soft

Linesman had a better view of the penalty shout in the first half and should’ve been flagging for it IMO

What a great gesture by the club and what a gent Ivor is. Lot of respect for people from his generation, looks like a highly decorated member of the fire brigade also.

What do you not want to play against as a defender?
A bloke who is quick or a bloke who is strong.
Bad luck- Antoine is both, plus he shoots equally well with either foot, so no good trying to show him on to a weaker side.
Nightmare to play against, as he’ll do you for strength or pace.
Got an extremely powerful shot on him as well so as long as he hits the target there’s a high chance the keeper isn’t stopping it anyway.

Luton remind me of Blackpool when they made it to the Premier league. They try to take the game to and out score the opposition rather than be overly cautious like most teams in the bottom half. I think though in the end they'll go down, although they'll go down swinging.

Of course he is, he's a footballer getting paid thousands a week. The Peter Crouch virgin quote even though it was a joke is completely accurate.

Really worried about the bloke who plays alongside him though, struggling big time.
Yeah he’s not been great the last few has he but overall I think he’s been a fairly decent signing.

A very Pearson win, without wishing to derail the thread - outplayed but no guts, no glory.
And one or two who have a chance of better things by the looks of it. Interestingly, none being the forwards our technical director creams himself over. Imo.
Both Yeboah ( holding and linking play) and Morrison were good. Not sure what game you were watching.

Leeds v Norwich tonight - UPDATE - Wagner Sacked

I reckon Norwich will shade this. Leeds to buckle under the pressure of their home support.
