His reputation was going down the pan and be realised this may be his last chance to prove himself at Championship level. 5 years ago NP wouldn't have touched BCFC, but after dire time at derby and in Belgium, plus an unsuccessful but challenging gig at Watford, his career trajectory is firmly downhil. He hasnt arrested that slide with us. So ultimately I think he had every reason to take us on, a solid Championship side on a poor run giving him the opportunity to try and turn around his flagging managerial career.

Some players have credit in the bank, him being one, Kalas is another who gets less criticism.....one argument is that he has Had 1 poor game, where as the likes of Vyner, Massengo etc don't seem to be learning.
