I spent an hour on YouTube watching Liam Manning interviews yesterday. I feel a lot more hopeful after that.

Ian Gay said on FBC that his “impeccable source” says the appointment is “someone the fans will get really excited about”.
That surely rules out Manning, and most of the bookies list?
Have a look at his pinned ElonXMuskTweet.

His record is very good?
He got sacked from Milton Keynes cos they were shite under him.
After the key players were moved on over the summer. That's not the only thing he has done.
Personally, I'd like a manager who has experienced the downsides too.

In terms of Manning, I can't say I am especially enthused. Not his fault the circs he would be arriving in but he doesn't yet have a strong track record to speak of.
His record is very good for a young head coach, to be fair. Not likely to be heading to a top Prem team, obviously. Unless he does well with us (if he joins).

Lee-berk-naysht is how it’s said in case he gets the job!
Insert joke about a northerner thinking Lee Johnson isn't as bad as he might seem.

What worries me the most - where the **** has Terry come from.
Half the squads birds will be shagged within a month.
Hopefully, the club will have watched the documentary about him and Anton Ferdinand.

Been aware of Gavin through a couple of different channels (away from Bristol City). Seems a genuinely decent bloke.

We can't afford them.
We've slashed our wage bill, put a cap on it, and now pay less than some of the bigger League 1 teams I shouldn't wonder.
What's Frankie going to make of that?
I imagine he'd just sit down on the penalty spot and repeat "nest egg" until Raheem Sterling appeared on loan.

I suppose it would open up the loan market from top Prem club(s) and he has taken a club into the playoffs before. Not shining at Chelsea or Everton, for different reasons, is not too black a mark.
Given the nailed on certainty of Eustace and now Lampard, the one lifelong lesson here is...don't gamble.

David Moyes is teetering at West Ham.
(I know it won't happen)

It's hard to imagine that J.James was more likely to snatch a point from this game than Mehmeti.

Seems an odd story that others were walking across the pitch unchallenged but this one guy was singled out
Possibly more to the story?
I suspect that's partly why he was accused of racism.

It's seems possible that West Ham might become interested again if Paqueta goes to Man City for £70m+

Some Wolves fans on Twitter think he was at theirs.
That aside, I'm sure I read somewhere that he was but hopefully someone can confirm.
He was definitely sat on the bench at Ashton Gate yesterday.

Nigel said explicitly that Knight is not Scott's replacement though.
It's hardly sensible management of players or fan expectations to say someone is going to be.a like for like to replacement...even if it were likely that we could get such a replacement for someone like Scott.
Knight certainly forms part of the team if Scott stays and is even more important in that team if Scott goes.

Think that's what Knight is all about.
And a pre-seasoned Mehmeti might well soften the blow of the attacking side.

It was also the received wisdom of many that we wouldn't spend much at all this summer, yet we've already spent a couple of million each on McCrorie and Knight. There were plenty saying we'd only be signing frees, or players on very small fees.
I wouldn't listen too much to Nige on this, if we sell Scott in a couple of weeks for £20m+ say, then I would be surprised if we didn't see another 2/3 players come in around the £2/3m mark.
I would be suprised if we didn't see people asking for a new chairman if every single penny of the Scott money isn't spent on a transfer fee for a player who is as good as Alex SCott.

I suspect that there are lots of conversations going on with womens contracts still painfully short and with the season still some way off, there is no great rush.
Probably nothing in it but Abi Harrison and Ella Powell both liked this tweet.
Whether the likes mean anything or not, twitter tells me lots and lots of players are currently deciding their futures.
Looks like the likes did mean something...

It is a shame that Twitter is struggling but we can easily replace that on here.
*Insert random advert for something you have literally no interest in thread of replies. It seems fairly clear that the West Ham link is a strong one. Conversations ongoing and the money from Declan Rice yet to land.
