  1. I don't know if anyone is aware of her, but Skye Nicolson, Australian Olympian who fights out of London, went to Mexico to fight for a world championship on the weekend and to go 8-0. She won the fight, but immediately after, her opponent's trainer / husband died. Sad to see, but fair play to Skye and her team for subdued celebrations on what should have been one of the best days of her life.
  2. Poor undercard that, followed by a poor Smith fight! Not too sure why everyone is writing him off though, there was obviously something wrong, he didn't throw any punches. Overall a better fighter than Eubank, maybe age taking it's toll now though. Would rather see a third than Eubank vs Benn in a different country.
  3. I wasn't moaning at his English whatsoever, I was just wondering if it was a bit of an odd thing to say.
  4. Bit late to the party, but his goodbye message is a bit odd I think. "I might not have been in close touch with all my teammates, but I will remember them and same applies to staff and coaches"
  5. Not counting the Oxford game, we've had considerably less shots in every game this season apart from Millwall. Agree with you on the Lansdown front though, time to sell up I think.
  6. We're £30m up in transfer fees, and at least £10m less in wages over the last 3 years. Bristol City are no longer on the FFP radar, and are nowhere near it, we have capacity to spend a good bit of wages, as long as we aren't chucking £20,000 P/W on a 5 year deal. But that's not what we're asking, or myself at least, it's just after a little bit of backing from the man who has lost interest in Bristol City.

In all fairness, that's on par with the rest of the side, no one can take a corner to save their life. Although if you listen to Robins TV they mention Naismith's 'wand' of a left foot, which somehow disappears when he walks to the corner of the pitch.
  8. Also, if we get a big number 9, as you said he heads it to nobody, and then if he's in the box to get his head on a cross, our wingers can't cross a road. Can't score from row Z.

Without trying to sound unbelievably negative, but from what I've seen of him, he'd be down in the 21s for me. He's only 22 and needs to learn what to do with the ball in the final third and work on his end product, maybe a bit of confidence down there and improving on them things with little more time on his hands will do him the world of good. Just my opinion. Has been nothing short of horrendous since being here as his final product is shocking. Not a terrible signing... yet.
  10. People are also seeing Lansdown's self imposed wage bill as FFP constraints - it's not, City are fine FFP wise right now, it's Lansdown not wanting to spend.
  11. I still don't think it's a striker that we're lacking. We have Wells, Conway (Wasn't injured start of season), Weimann (Played there at Villa and got goals for us there what, 3 years ago? Unfortunately injured again), Cornick (Has played there). Although not many rate Cornick (Myself included) we've got 3 players to fill one position if none are injured - that's enough when we only play one formation, and it's evident that we won't change. What we're missing is creativity in my eyes. Nothing whatsoever from the middle and nothing from the wings. All there is from the wings is a little bit of pace, combined with the worst pieces of final ball I've ever seen, amateur football included. Wells will score if given the chance, but unfortunately we don't get in those positions, and Wells has actually been dropping deeper just to get on the ball. I left Yeboah out of striker options as I don't think anyone expected him to be where he is now, and I don't think you can rely massively on a 17 year old with a lack of experience, but he's another option.
  12. I believe as long as the Rugby isn't on, you need to give your registration in, I think to Jerry the SLO and then you're good to go. I could be wrong as I don't actually get the coach, but that's the impression I was under.
  13. Bottom of the glove at the stomach? Not a chance. Suppose everyone will see it differently. Main thing is Frank Warren is dying for a rematch, does anyone want that? Is that just to curb everyone from crying for Usyk Fury for a while again?
  14. 100% a low blow, look at where the bottom of Dubois' glove is in that photo. Other people will use different photos, forgetting that it's an uppercut... No one is convincing me that the bottom of Dubois glove there is above Usyk's belly button. Decent scrap, thought Dubois brought more to the party than I expected, but seemed to quit when he could've got up which was a shame. Sheeraz on the undercard looked very handy. Naseem's son trying to do it without his Dad's name, all to put 'Prince' on this front of his shorts, how that was last undercard fight was criminal, think his opponent was pulled from the crowd.
  15. Always a chance in heavyweight boxing in my eyes, one punch could do it, whether that be a lucky one or a perfectly timed one. John Fury might be the worst person on the planet.
  16. I agree massively, men get paid far too much, and unfortunately I don't actually know the figures that the women are getting paid, it was a quick search for me of how much the USWNT were getting so they're the figures I had, and £400,000 p/y is crazy that there's constant moaning about it, for myself. But yes, comparing different sports, in different countries, that bring in varied amounts of viewers is ludicrous, like you've said. But, it is always going to be determined heavily on the commercial revenue as that's where they get their pot of money from.
  17. Hence why I said that it wasn't bad and that my suggested changes in which I'd see it as better to watch - much like Women's Tennis being best of 3 instead of 5, and Heptathlons are different distances for Men and Women, to make it better entertainment wise, due to the biological difference. So you're saying that male and female football are different disciplines? I agree. So why is there an argument? I haven't seen anything from Javelin throwers to be paid male premier league football wages.
  18. After last season, seeing Naismith in a back 3 would probably give me a heart attack. Gave away so many goals last season trying to play out too much. I liked him in central midfield, but at centre back, gave away too many cheap goals. Nige seems to have recruited for a 433, can't see him changing just after the window after planning for that and getting signings that he sees for that gameplan.
  19. The game has changed at the very very top end, but most good championship teams have at least one exciting player that can beat a man and excite fans, IMO. I would definitely agree with trying to play Roberts in a left wing area, he has a great delivery on him and with him and Pring would be interchangeable when one overlaps and the other one covers. Mehmetti has been a disappointment for me - not a write off yet, but needs to earn his place, and I don't really get the hype around Bell - yes again, not a write off, and both him and Mehmetti still young, but want more off of them to warrant a starting spot. Naismith could be a good addition in the middle, wide range of passing that this side seems to be lacking.
  20. The disparity is quite bad IMO, the Dallas FC u15s don't get paid anything, whereas the women (current WC Champs at the time) were getting £400,000+! https://www.cbssports.com/soccer/news/a-dallas-fc-under-15-boys-squad-beat-the-u-s-womens-national-team-in-a-scrimmage/ I actually watched the final, the only game I watched, and it wasn't bad, apart from certain parts which were amateurish. It's getting better, but you can't compare it to the top 1% of men's football. I haven't seen any league 2 players request £400,000 p/a (asking for the same as the women), it's silly. I also think the game could be a lot better if changes were implemented, like a slightly smaller pitch and goals - to make it more technical but less physical, but it won't happen because they care more about their ego as opposed to entertainment.
  21. He was also as bad a footballer as he was a person by the time he signed for us, calamity of a signing!
  22. He wasn't found innocent either, and if you've seen the evidence that the majority of football fans have seen, then you probably know what the verdict would be if he had a trial. If you're okay with men assaulting women, both physically and sexually, then you are a shit bloke.
  23. Sponsorships are rather irrelevant for United - they've just signed the biggest sponsorship deal ever with Adidas, and no doubt that was a big focus during discussions, so they've either accepted it, or United have made the decision to get rid of MG (I think the first one is the outcome). Legally, as have seen a couple of people not 100% sure, he has not been found guilty or innocent, the charges were dropped because his partner did not press charges essentially, despite posting them all over social media.
  24. Sorry to hear that. But precisely this, I'm all for forgiveness, but certain things are too big to do so.
  25. ?I wonder why she gave him forgiveness, after even her own Dad berated her for going public with the news.? Put yourself in other shoes - if it was your daughter and a random non millionaire 20 year old and you seen them photos, videos and recordings, would you forgive them?
