Bellingham is our best player. Surely you play him where he plays for R Madrid?

Hope this doesn't turn into a Lampard/Gerrard situation

There’s an argument for that no doubt. Just think he is that good he could move back and be just as influential.

Surely we look to play Foden as a 10, Bellingham as an 8 alongside Rice and Trent as a right back who can step up if needed? Would be disappointed if we shove Foden onto the left with how good he’s been this season.

I really don’t get the Trafford one, he’s not shown he’s good enough for the Premier League never mind England. Do we need 4 keepers in this squad anyway?

He’s always said he doesn’t play centrally for England as he doesn’t for City. Which was rubbish at the time and after a good season Southgate’s recent quote is we want him in a centre position.

    A walking contradiction.

Anyway I’d move Bellingham back and Foden at 10 but then leaves a space on the left?!

    Just saw!

It is a little disingenuous to say “Man who developed player into £25m asset and wasn’t given funds to replace him was hurt less by his departure than his successor, who had a replacement funded” - particularly when you saw the germs of the plan that pre season!

    Replace disingenuous with absolute bullshit.

It would be quite interesting to see Brian Tinnions managerial stats here - which were generally regarded as a disaster - compared to Nigel Pearsons.

Of course, they both managed us in different divisions, but then our squad would have been equivalently different.

I don't know how they'd actually stack up as Tinnions stats don't seem to be easily found - but I know for a fact that Pearsons were underwhelming.

EDIT - also, on topic, has he not just tweeted a couple of factual references to the season just gone..?

Academy players coming through - true.

Finished higher than we have for several years - true.

Progress..? Questionable I suppose - but factually correct. Of course he's going to look at the positive slant in his assements.

Next season, with a summer window & pre-season under his belt, is the only fair way to judge LM.

Personally I think he has done OK generally. Certainly alot of work to do & improvements to be made - but there were also some encouraging signs aswell.

    Next season will be interesting.!

Comparing Tinnion and Pearson as managers. Yep I was right. You haven’t got a clue.

One a failed manager and a player who spent most of his career in league one compared to one with promotions and who played a part in a team winning the Premier League.

    Un*******believable.

Oh it took all of two seconds to find out how much of a failure he was. If memory wasn’t enough.
