    Just saw!

It is a little disingenuous to say “Man who developed player into £25m asset and wasn’t given funds to replace him was hurt less by his departure than his successor, who had a replacement funded” - particularly when you saw the germs of the plan that pre season!

    Replace disingenuous with absolute bullshit.

It would be quite interesting to see Brian Tinnions managerial stats here - which were generally regarded as a disaster - compared to Nigel Pearsons.

Of course, they both managed us in different divisions, but then our squad would have been equivalently different.

I don't know how they'd actually stack up as Tinnions stats don't seem to be easily found - but I know for a fact that Pearsons were underwhelming.

EDIT - also, on topic, has he not just tweeted a couple of factual references to the season just gone..?

Academy players coming through - true.

Finished higher than we have for several years - true.

Progress..? Questionable I suppose - but factually correct. Of course he's going to look at the positive slant in his assements.

Next season, with a summer window & pre-season under his belt, is the only fair way to judge LM.

Personally I think he has done OK generally. Certainly alot of work to do & improvements to be made - but there were also some encouraging signs aswell.

    Next season will be interesting.!

Comparing Tinnion and Pearson as managers. Yep I was right. You haven’t got a clue.

One a failed manager and a player who spent most of his career in league one compared to one with promotions and who played a part in a team winning the Premier League.

    Un*******believable.

Oh it took all of two seconds to find out how much of a failure he was. If memory wasn’t enough.

  3. I thought in real time he was off so didn’t get carried away when it went. What a moment to just be taken away. The thought of getting to the premier league and dealing with that gets less appealing by the week.

Is this really how pathetically reactionary we are going to be now? One disappointing draw after a decent run of form and a 5-0 win in midweek?

I was Manning out when we on an extended poor run. But our form has been much improved over the past few weeks. We are a mid-table squad doing mid-table things. Will we win games we don’t expect to and lose some we expect to win. Our league position is about par for the squad.

We can’t constantly keep changing manager without really strong justification. Right now I don’t think that strong justification is there, and Manning needs time - and the summer - to see what he can really do.

You’ve said reactionary? Perhaps he’s had that opinion for a while and three positive results may not have changed his mind. So in fact you have “ reacted “ after three decent performances.

For the record I don’t care enough either way. Do I think he is good enough? No. Do I think his football is any good? No.
Do I think the idiots above are more of a problem? Absolutely.
