  1. I'm trying to convince myself now we're going to a back 5 next season, but I think we need a LWB cover still even if Roberts signs for that.
  2. @Davefevs notice he says he’s predominantly a defender, I’m genuinely starting to think particularly with Roberts signing that we might be recruiting for a 3 at the back system? I’m sure I remember Pearson saying we’ll stick with a 4 at the back system, but I can’t find the quote.
  3. I’m not offended at all It’s just a bit of a tease isn’t it, loads of people clearly still haven’t seen the BP article so are commenting on his most recent post. Have a bit of self awareness.
  4. Joe Bryan posting photos on his IG on Bristol… he’ll be aware of all the speculation as he’s been on twitter today, so pretty poor taste that. Got fans on strings.
  5. Literally just sticking what the bloke who broke the Bryan not signing story on Facebook has posted about this signing on here for others information. Chill out mate.
  6. Is that with Roberts signing, or Joe not re-signing? Or both? I'm relatively happy too.
  7. No, because you'll be waiting until you're dead. Why would the club put out a piece about who they aren't signing? Imagine if they had to do that for every player we're rumoured to be interested in, it'd create a full time job for somebody.
  8. How do Roberts stats compare to L1 full backs? Is it as I expect in that he's very astute defensively but less so going forwards? I read that he also prefers playing as a CB, so I'm genuinely interested to see if he's signed as cover for Pring or if he's a CB, and maybe McCrorie is signed as a midfielder? We seem to be getting lots of versatility in.
  9. BP saying he's likely to sign this week anyhow. Forget about Bryan now, this is the player we need to get behind and putting emotions aside probably the more sensible deal for the football club. Welcome Haydon.
  10. Took about 10 mins for your "source" to make you look daft mate.
  11. The only reservation I have is that him and Pring are very different - he's very defensively minded, Pring whilst capable defensively obviously his standout attributes are going forward. Could be viewed as a healthy blend? I'm not sure, they aren't alike.
  12. Like I said in the other thread, if not for Bryan we'd all be happy with Roberts. It's a sensible signing and probably a better long-term deal with the club. I'm content, it's a good bit of business. If Bryan signs for Cardiff though, he's absolutely dead to me and I hope he gets all sorts at AG.
  13. I'm sure he said something about us playing the same system next season.
  14. Didn't Nige say we'll be playing 4-3-3? I'm sure he did. @Davefevs?
  15. He's not tall enough to play CB in a back 4, he's 5"8.
  16. The discussions have been going on for months, that's how things work when a player is coming to the end of a contract and knows he won't be getting a new deal. He isn't signing, so my concerns were more than fair, which you tried to shoot down.
  17. He won't be signed for CB in a back 4 due to height, unless we're going back to a back 5 but I still can't see it as Pring/Naismith/Atkinson all cover LCB role. He'd be signed for LB.
  18. If he signs Bryan won't be, he covers CB too. If Bryan wasn't mentioned originally I'd have been over the moon with this deal.
  19. I can, and funnily enough that's the pattern I originally pointed out, from our side. I'm not going disclose on a public football forum how I know but if anybody does believe the BP report then they're badly mistaken.
  20. That wasn't what Gregor reported. He reported that the deal was up to around 3m, which was a complete lie that was pushed out by the club in attempt to lower expectation. The deal, as originally reported by GFFN, was up to around 8m.
