  1. Yes. Massengo cost up to about 7.8m, and a lot of the add-ons were met. He was an incredibly expensive deal for the club.
  2. Bristol Post get fed bollocks by the club in terms of fees and print it. I remember Gregor kept pushing the idea that Massengo only cost about £2.8m or whatever, which was a complete lie.
  3. What's the situation with it then, given you seem to have all the answers and are shooting down anyone else's way of thinking?
  4. They reported it was nearly done two weeks ago, then they seemed to backtrack on that. To me, that suggests that talks have "stalled". Time will tell - why does it upset you so much that I'm penning some nervous thoughts about a quality player re-signing for us? It's only natural if you care. Lots of their fans seem to think it'll be Ozil by the sounds of it...
  5. Just rehashing what the Bristol Post have reported - they suggested talks were at a "delicate stage" now. See above.
  6. Have a read of their press conference today - one of their board members said they're about to announce a player that will be a bigger deal than the manager they announced and he expects them to take up to 18,000 season tickets. I'm not suggesting that's Bryan, but he said it's not the only announcement they have that'll excite fans. I've just got a bad feeling, given it seems to have stalled from our end.
  7. They can, and they're about to announce a couple of marquee signings.
  8. It's where he looks threatening for us too, I read a NTT20 piece the other day and the Sunderland correspondent they had said Mehmeti was the best opposing player at the SOL this season. What's your view on Bryan re-signing KITR? Him and Mehmeti both very different left wingers (if we chose him to play there) but both have different qualities, could be very effective for us.
  9. Hate the idea of playing Mehmeti as a 10. He's the one player we have other than Scott (who probably won't be here) that's capable of being direct and taking on a man, he needs to stay out wide. We need a new 10. Twine would be my somewhat ambitious suggestion, if not then I'd be very content with Azaz.
  10. You still rarely do mate - you get some away fans going in the Wetherspoons in Bedminster, but it ain't a City pub and any City fan with any sense wouldn't drink in there when it's plotted between the Tap and Barrel and the London Inn. As for the Wall fans, Barley Mow isn't much of a football pub tbf is it. Always locals in there, White Hart I've not been in since it's been done up. There were some Wall in the Little Gros though surprisingly, which didn't go down too well post match especially.
  11. He didn't, as @Davefevs alluded to the other day they were sort of a crossover. Atkinson almost Dickie's replacement, despite them playing different sides.
  12. Absolutely, that was a great bit of business. Our business so far under NP has been steady, as he's not had a great deal to spend. Now he has, will be interesting to see what we can do. Dickie and Bryan would be a great start, McCrorie sounds fairly promising too.
  13. We did sort of in a sense with Webster, he was a player who lost his way a bit at a Championship club and we took advantage of that, albeit slightly more expensively. I'm very happy with this though.
  14. Appreciate the info mate, exciting signing that's for sure.
  15. https://www.leeds-live.co.uk/sport/leeds-united/leeds-united-qpr-rob-dickie-22609693 "According to The Athletic, Burnley, Southampton, West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers have also been keeping tabs on the highly-rated centre-back. The source claim that if QPR decide to sell Dickie in the winter market then they're likely to demand in excess of £10m, which would only be the fifth time they've sold someone for that sum of money in the club's history." Only a year ago. Madness.
  16. Nice one @Bcfcshags. Now hopefully Bryan and McCrorie!
  17. Not really a pub football fans will travel to is it - the majority of idiots will come to Bristol and spend their entire time in the Knights Templar because it’s the first pub by the station ffs. You must be joking? I’ve never once seen an away fan in The Masonic, or The London Inn, or the Tap and Barrel. Some Millwall were in the White Hart and the Barley Mow this year, that’s about as close as I’ve seen. Bedminster is strictly home only in most pubs.
  18. Home pubs in Bedminster - The Tap And Barrel, The Black Cat, The Masonic, The London Inn, The Rising Sun. Home pubs in Hotwells - The Bear, The Mardyke. Away pubs - Nova Scotia, anywhere on the harbourside. Wouldn’t advise drinking anywhere else near the ground, especially if wearing colours. ??
  19. Lansdown doesn’t want fans going abroad following us again after the events of 2015, when a portion of our fanbase had one too many… shall we say. It’s a shame, there’ve been some good pre-season tours over the years.
  20. When LJ was here it was made a requirement that they had to move within 30 miles or something like that, after Lee Tomlin left. Obviously now been scrapped.
