  1. He was setting the fastest laps of the race when he wasn't in first, got the lead by managing his tyres better than others so he was able to stay out longer. There was a safety car which allowed him to get a 'cheap' pit stop, but even after the restart he was the quickest driver out there. He only lost fastest lap because his teammate was forced to pit from some damage and got fresh tyres on with a much lighter car (from fuel use)
  2. Opposite to how Farm have played all season, they got sucked into playing the same way Frome were.
  3. Disappointing for Farm. Frome pen looked a dive, so glad that was saved, but 2 set piece goals and a defensive mix up gifted the game to Frome. That said, Frome were the better side for most of the game and Farm got sucked into the hoofball in bad conditions.
  4. They had over 1300 there when they played Torquay in a cup game earlier this season. Think this will be pushing 1500
  5. Get in! Well deserved Lando. Should have happened at Sochi a couple of years ago but he's got a very deserved win now.
  6. Been a very good race in terms of fights for position near the front Norris vs Perez, Piastri vs Sainz and Leclerc Norris had a bit of fortune with the safety car, but he had taken those mediums well beyond the expected window of use.
  7. I don't know much about the rest of the squad, but certainly Grubb and Day are more than capable of playing some good football. They were both players who looked capable of a step up when they were at Farm, and while Farm do occasionally get drawn into the long ball, scrappy games they do usually try to play good football.
  8. It's alright, we can just ask Gasheads what that's like!
  9. Outsold the advance sales of their biggest crowd in 50 years now.
  10. At the same time, Christie was very fortunate not to get at least a yellow. Studs up on Saka's leg, another one on Havertz and another foul on someone else.
  11. anyone considering going to Frome vs Manor Farm on Monday, it's probably best to buy your ticket in advance. yesterday Frome put out a tweet saying the final had already outsold their semi-final which had a crowd of 1099.
  12. Can't deny he did a great job for Cribbs, but I wouldn't want to be watching their style of football each week!
  13. Wouldn't that go both ways though? A manager of a team with nothing to play for has to get the players motivated for a dead rubber, while for those in the promotion/relegation fights some of the players will be playing for their contract or to get a move to stay at this level.
  14. Agree with that, wasn't a classic by any metric, but I was expecting that heading into the game. Cribbs had only conceded about 15 goals at home this season
  15. Pretty even first half, but Farm got an almost instant lead. Cribbs with hoofball for most of the game but created some chances first half. 2nd half Cribbs equalise after mistake from the Farm keeper. But Farm got a deserved lead. Cribbs keeper properly snapped at a few Farm fans after a bit of stick and not giving the ball back right away. Frome away on Monday UTF
  16. You must have been about 3 people along from me
  17. difference is this was true! I think some people even gave up and went back in the clubhouse because it was torrential rain that night Just had a look and their average for the season was 164, the crowd that night was their record crowd at 567
  18. one last bump before kickoff looks like Farm will be doing commentary on their X as well
  19. Tickets confirmed as £11 and a little about parking on this.
  20. There's not tonnes of parking at the ground, athough you'd probably be able to find somewhere that's not too far to walk and there is a bus stop pretty close by, which is how I got there for the game in August. Could probably get a space at the ground if you get there 40+ minutes before kickoff, but not a guarantee. From memory I think it was £10 to get in for their games this season. I go and watch Farm rather than Cribbs, but £10 is pretty standard across the division. Only Frome and maybe Wimborne are the ones that I know were charging more. Cribbs have averaged about 160 for their home games, but when the 2 sides met in August the crowd was about 560 and there were people still being let in 15 minutes after kick off. I can see it being a bigger crowd again because of a spot in the playoff final being at stake, but hopefully they're better prepared this time!
  21. Wednesday night, Cribbs vs Bristol Manor Farm in the Southern League Div 1 playoffs. A couple of miles between the clubs and no love lost either. When they met at Cribbs in August the hosts came off the victors, but Farm were aggrieved over several decisions in that game including 2 penalty decisions and a red card incident. A month or so later they met again in the league cup at Manor Farm, this time a draw but Cribbs got the job done on penalties. They played at Farm again in March. A packed out Creek making lots of noise saw a comfortable win for the home side who have been on a run of 9 wins in 11 games to make the playoffs. Wednesday night they meet for the 4th time this season, with the highest stakes of the lot. If anyone is wanting a bit more football before the season ends and doesn't like the interference of things like VAR I would absolutely recommend going down there for it even as a neutral. 7.45pm KO Mods- I know we have the non league thread, but would appreciate it if this was kept separate for a couple of days to see if it gets any interest.
  22. I don't like VAR, but it meant the right decision was made in the end.
