To be fair I think the fact that it's the 4th time we've played them this season is not helping the numbers and I don't think Swansea or Cardiff away are particularly pleasant days out.

Not so sure about Mothers Day, that sounds like a Gas excuse, I would add Welsh police tho.

Some of their own fans have been saying today that they were disgusted with the sexist abuse aimed at the female referee at last night's game, disgusted maybe, surprised surely not !!

My wife said...our new neighbours are so in love, he kisses her, strokes her hair and constantly hugs her, why don't you do that she said.....I don't know her that well yet I replied.

I think if we hadn't played Man City in the cup then we would still be with Hummel. I'm guessing obviously but I don't think Hummel could supply the kit with the extra sponsors on for the cup game so were rapidly dropped.

Great photo, looks like the bloke from Peaky Blinders and the ground looks better than the Rovers ground looks now !!

Am I the only one on here that struggles to remember the first game I went to this season let alone a game from in my case about 48 years back. I do remember the Portsmouth game when we won promotion to Div 1 and I think it was Notts County on the Saturday after..which we lost.

Isn't that very similar to what away fans say about a visit to the Rovers ground ?
-
To be fair to them they have also said that they refuse to be on Match Of The Day for the foreseeable future.

Went to Cardiff last week and after that experience I won't be rushing back to Wales for a game, treated like a herd of cattle, can't get a pint anywhere except for the overpriced crap at the ground, you feel like a criminal for daring to go to a football match and as others have said when Cardiff and Swansea come here they go pretty much anywhere they want Inc Swansea drinking on the waterfront on a Friday afternoon fairly recently. -
Not if City were playing away on a Sunday he wouldn't have ??

Why have they done a painting of a young Robbie Williams in a Rovers kit ?

Plymouth have a bit of history for falling away towards the end of a season, can't see that happening this season tho. -
Yes, it was far worse back then. I remember the lumps of concrete being thrown at Swindon, numerous stabbings, slashings etc, darts being thrown.

Huddersfield Town away match thread

Don't understand that no POTD, we've sold about 300 tickets in an end that holds about 2500, not much chance of anyone making a late decision to go now. Fair play to the 300 that have bought tickets by the way. -
The football special was awful, really overcrowded and when it stopped at Filton people couldn't get off as they had to exit from a certain carriage and they couldn't get to it. Terrible awayday yesterday like a throwback to the '80s. I've travelled a lot over the years but don't think I've seen so many police at a game, no pubs open, you are made to feel like a criminal just for going to a football match. It was my first visit to that ground although done Ninian Pk a few times and I've no desire to go back.

Paddy and Murphy are walking home very drunk, as they pass the bus depot Paddy says...don't worry I'll steal a bus. After 2 hours of buses moving forward and reversing Paddy arrived driving a bus. What took so long said Murphy....Paddy said...well the only bus that went near our house is the number 11 and they parked that right at the back.

And yet Cardiff and Swansea fans can wander off to the waterfront when they come here or at the very least they can go to the Wetherspoons at Temple Meads.

Could We Realistically Have Come Out Any Better?
weepywall replied to Silvio Dante's topic in Football Chat
Bar winning I think scoring would have been nice and deserved, from a personal point of view I bet on Man City to win with a minus 2 goal start which I was happy to lose by the way so as far as Im concerned we only lost 1-0. -
Just the one.

I think any that haven't been collected beforehand will be available to pick up at Cardiff.

Thought the crowd were great tonight, people go on about acoustics, roof too low, roof too high, sound doesn't travel etc but when plenty are on it AG is as good as any. Was chatting to.a couple of Man C on the way back to TM and they thought the atmosphere was great...oh and I asked them the all important question...who do you prefer and they both said..they prefer us ?
