  1. Yes, because this really needed another thread didn’t it
  2. Thank you for sharing that @phantom .. it's good to hear it's being dicussed at these meetings.
  3. You would have to honour the price of south stand season ticket price for a given period of time (say 3 years).
  4. Logistics around this will be impossible. Making the South Stand completely safe-standing is the most logical way to better the atmosphere for home matches. Yes, a few people would grumble but they would get over it if it improved the results on the pitch and the matchday experience in general. People are able to adapt to new situations quickly. Think about when AG was redeveloped that changed everything for people that would have sat in the same seat for many years. The benefits of this would signifcantly outweigh any uproar from fans (imho of course).
  5. I was going to add my input on Max but this post completely nails it. Perfectly depressing.
  6. Will hopefully result in an influx in ticket sales today. Would be surprised if we completely sold out, but should be taking in excess of 2k for this. Could potentially be our last important game of the season.
  7. By putting them next to each other and then having 9 other players behind them in all seriousness, the OP is quite right. Starting both Bell and Mehmeti is holding us back.
  8. Add in another fixture in between all of this lot. Two games a week for the next three weeks is going to be tough to manage.
  9. Reading comments online this sounds like a very exciting signing. Aldershot not far for me; might go a few games a couple of times over the next few months.
  10. I guess the only glimmer of hope is that the last time we were faced with a very tough set of fixtures was in December: Sunderland, Hull, Watford. We all know what happened there. What happens in the rest of this transfer window may or may not have an effect.
  11. 30th Jan - Coventry (a) 2nd Feb - Leeds (H) 10th Feb - Middlesbrough (a) 13th Feb - Southampton (H) Four very tough games in a short period of time. If we can come out of these still within 6 points of the playoffs that would be a great platform to maybe make a late charge. We lose them all and then it's another season of mediocrity confirmed. The optimist in me says that 5 points out of this lot would be a good outcome but it will be a very tough ask; especially the next two.
  12. I did wonder if the gates being open at Stratford would have caught a lot of people out. I tend to buy a paper travelcard when going to London just so I know I'm covered.
  13. Knowing the TV companies it’ll be Wolves v Brentford and Everton v Palace
  14. Liverpool Street area. Probably not the Hamilton Hall spoons though; will be absolute chaos. Plenty of other options available a short walk away from the station.
  15. Interesting from Football Ground Guide website: ”Confusingly inside the stadium, there are a number of empty seats on matchday including the away section, even though the game may be ‘sold out.’ This is because the stadium holds 66,000 but West Ham are only allowed to sell 60,000 seats. Rather than having whole sections of seats empty it would appear that the Club have spread them around the stadium.” On this point, a West Ham mate mentioned to me that once inside the concourse the upper and lower sections can be accessed from the same area. He sent me a picture of the steps from the Brighton match last night. Of course, you’ll have stewards checking for this. Not something I’d advise but it’s not accurate to say there is “no chance” of this happening.
  16. Liverpool Street will be a good option. Not many places around Stratford will allow away fans. The Hamilton Hall Wetherspoons will be extremely popular (i.e. busy). There are loads of other places around Liverpool Street that would be good: Kings Arms, Railway Tavern to name a couple. It is inevitable with any away trip, sold out or not, that the majority will take the attitude of you can sit/stand where you like. Birmingham was sold out and we just stood somewhere where there was a space. It largely comes down to how strict the West Ham stewards will be. My personal advice would be to not be too particular about where you're sitting. If someone mentions you're in their seat then politely move and then find somewhere else. Obviously the preferred approach would be that everyone sits in their allocated sit but it's unrealistic to expect that will happen.
  17. Wondered what people's thoughts are on if this will make general sale? The impression I'm getting is that it's unlikely. So it would be worth buying a membership to get access to tickets on Monday? £25 membership + £15 ticket seems reasonable considering the occasion. Only downside is having to give the Lansdowns more of my money
  18. In short, yes. Bad form is so hard to shake off. Our next three fixtures are difficult where I only see us maybe getting something against Hull.Could end up being a slippery slope. I’m sure we’ll be fine but a managerial change should never result in regression.
  19. Just said to my Oxford mate that the Lansdowns have managed to derail two clubs’ seasons. Quite impressive really
  20. https://footballgroundguide.com/leagues/england/championship/ewood-park-blackburn-rovers.html Always a good website for these kind fo questions. The spoons near the station is decent. The Fernhurst is closer to the ground which is a great pub
  21. I would have thought so. The move to Sunday would have put off some people. Might be wrong, though. Will be plenty of seats in the home sections, no way they'll sell out.
  22. That's asking for trouble if you ask me. Stratford is completely the wrong side of London for Bristol. My recommendation if you didn't want to train it the whole way would be to drive to somewhere in west of London and then get tube in. Hounslow is usually a good shout (means avoiding the M25 completely). Denham another good option. Reading also another option as others have mentioned but you'd be better off getting a train rather than Elizabeth line as it's about 40 minutes faster.
  23. “We have secured an allocation of 8,924 tickets and will let supporters know pricing and other ticket details as soon as possible“ Bring it on ️
  24. Just gone on general sale. About 1000 left. As others have mentioned, I think most are saving the pennies for West Ham.
