  1. The Cricketers normally, 5-10 min walk from the ground, near a Morrisons supermarket
  2. Yep, I was a bit non plussed for this one when I bought tickets a few weeks back, bloody thrilled I'm going now though, think it could be a good one under the lights & with how we're going, could be travelling back down the M5 in the playoff spots
  3. It's a lot better than the upper tier
  4. Another possibility is the jubilee line from paddington to the O2 for a few beers and then hop back on, Stratford is 10mins further up the line.
  5. The two biggest youth leagues in Bristol and surrounding areas are Sunday.. HML for U7 - U11 AYL for U12 - U16 Teams from Bristol, Somerset & Glos at most age groups, 7 - 8 leagues at each each group. I'm at coach at Imperial and have been for a few years... But me and my lads are booked on the train to West Ham for this weekend
  6. I thought watching that first half we'd gone back 2 1/2 years & were watching us under Holden. Very slow & turgid. Passing for passings sake, a boring approach to football unless you've mastered it (and we ain't remotely close to it!!) Nige spent 2 years building us into a counter attacking team, ball forward quickly and attack at pace - despite some of the quotes from tins and the board - we were entertaining to watch like that. Injuries derailed us hugely Point being, there's no need to reinvent the wheel, we stand 4 points off of the playoffs, a great position - let's not throw it away due to appointing a manager who wants a possession based game and thus we'll need a big rebuild.
  7. Completely contradicts himself in the 2mins he's given up " we've a few injuries" "Wants a style of play, pressing, throughout the club - you can see we've got that at the moment"
  8. What happened at the station was an absolute disgrace & serious questions should be asked of South Wales police, both the legality of penning us in for over 1 hour out in the rain & commanding officers judgement in deeming it safe to pen us against a wall and crash barriers which were tight against riot vans. You could argue this was a manufactured situation.... Eventually the inevitable happened and the mass pushing and crushing happened - i saw young children and women squashed against the barriers in tears. Turns out our train was waiting on the platform after all. I wonder had it not kicked off when it did if we'd still be waiting & the police waiting for the kick off & our train waiting idly by. Once ppl had rushed into the station we had to run the gauntlet of police spraying gas all over the place, batons flying and city fans fighting amongst themselves. Saw one teen get a glass bottle to the face only to then turn and be pepper sprayed right in the eyes, he was on my carriage on train home, in a terrible state.
  9. The old super Bobby Taylor chant for me - Nige, Nige Super Nige 2nd verse Never had a gaffer quite as good as Nige etc etc
  10. Been a long term reader on here without ever signing up or commenting. However... This was worth the signing up and getting involved. Surely about time we on the terraces were physically heard with our support for big Nige? Doesn't have to be original or witty... But a loud, repetitive chorus of support week in/out is hard to be ignored. Think he's done a really solid job without the slightest bit of public support from SL or the board ( a question which should be asked to those in charge... If ever there available and public!)
