Should find out tomorrow, Thursday is a popular day for announcing new managers/head coaches.
Watching brief for Saturday.

Again - contradictions in the various lines being put out there.
Personally I think given the pretty good record DR had over previous seasons, that this "offence" of giving them a week off to rest, is hardly a sackable offence. Also In JE's case.
Especially when you scrutinise the details - who actually are we talking about getting injured since/during the international break?
Williams - impact injury in training.
Naismith?
James - impact injury vs Ipswich
So the reality is the difference between the line ups pre (Leeds) and post (Coventry) last international break was 2 players, Nays and Williams? Doesn't align with the story that the week off has caused more trouble. On the contrary, maybe the rest helped the recovery of others?? Weimann, Conway etc.
Hardly sackable...
Just to look at this from a different angle -
Previous Manager had to deal with a horrendous injury crisis, Rolls and the medical team blamed by just about everybody.
NP brings in his own "elite" medical team, injury pile up is at least as bad if not worse than before but not their fault.
Truth somewhere in the middle would be my guess.

Would they?
Only need to look at the fiasco after LJs sacking to realise that SL and planning aren't worthy of being discussed in the same sentence unless its in regards to property development.
I have zero faith the longer this bumbles along with no appointment.
Think they have had longer to look around as it has been obvious that NP was going, either soon or for sure at the end of the season.
There was no "we will give him time to turn it around" thinking. (Holden !).
They at least would have been sounding people out for the Summer, the issue now maybe "fast tracking" it ?

I’ve got a funny feeling it’s gonna be him. All adds up, potential new owners wanting a big name?
The one name that truly scares me.
Has done absolutely nothing but confirm that great players rarely make great coaches.

I'm starting to think there actually going to go for someone like luke Williams wow as far as I am concerned that will reaffirm to me all they want is a coach active on the training pitch to answer to Brian tinion. It is also looking like they have sacked pearson and absolutely no plan in place. In all my years supporting this club I have never know it to be so amateur it's absolutely bewildering! I just can't fathom a world in which Brian tinon and luke Williams are funding the football operations two people that have past through this club in that sence and failed the lansdowns really are a rotten bunch.
They would have checked on Williams (or another) interest before pulling the trigger on Pearson.
I agree they were going to get rid asap but a quick phone call to confirm basic interest, details of job description and pay etc is all they would need with someone they know.

Thanks. I would say that most of those in the betting are managers not coaches. I can't see them being prepared to do what Tinnion tells them to do.
Still think the "plan" was/is Luke Williams, delay maybe linked to getting him out of his current job.
He ticks all of the boxes they described I think.

Only 4% of fans trusting the board to make good decisions in the best interests of the club is staggering.
Not when you consider who is voting, I'm surprised it is as high as 4.

Alternatively Andy will be seen as Nigel's man so will have a target on his back.
After all the hierarchy didn't like him being selected by Nigel so when we have a head coach who will do as he is told by Tinnion Andy may not get much game time.
This is more likely IMO.
He was NPs man and along with James will need/want to move on ?

Disagree, i would have thought that having a playing culture from the top down is a good thing if you then recruit for that culture? Liverpool do it with their press and fast attack, man city have their possession and tactical flexibility, swansea have done it for years, and clubs all over the world do it too. Luton wouldn’t have a highly physical playing style then recruit someone like Michael laudrup as manager when he was a much better match for the type of football swansea were looking to play when he joined them. The fact it took the lansdowns 20 odd years to figure this out is what the problem is!
Players to the suit the system, not the other way around.

Same for whoever gets the gig. We can't afford, or attract, someone who's not a risk. We can minimise through due diligence but it's still going to be a risk.
All managers are a risk as you say.

Wouldn't surprise me if Mattie moved on in January anyway. He came because of Nige. Andy King, lifelong City fan so he may hang around till summer.
King may still have coaching hopes.
It does seem he was the one that was questioned "from above" about being in the team instead of a youngster, so maybe an issue there that means he leaves ?

The main criteria for recruiting a new head coach is, in my humble opinion, likely to be cost. The new chap will have to accept around a third of Nigel's salary and instead of replacing Rennie, he will have to operate by using the local A&E. Experience of being employed by "the bewildered" would also be an advantage.
Local A& E would be a step up from the last two Clown Shows running our medical side.
