On what basis is our defense “definately a top 6 defense”, where is your evidence for this Sorry where does thi say we are a top 6 defense?

I once worked with a statistician who had a phd and he based his thesis on the elements required for success, he was Swindon fan and maths professor, he calculated that have a tight defense was far more likely to lead to success than a team that scores toms of goals - that ultimately what was more important, not conceding or scoring tons of goals and was the former, was very interesting but I can’t really do it justice on here. Didnt think you could justify it. Proper nonsense “top 6 defense” based on “um,uh, hmmmm nothing!!!”

Not saying that at all Pearson might have been the difference maker he may be 100% responsible I have no idea, what I was questioning was whether coaches at this level have a big impact on development or whether it is natural progression whether that is Pearson manning Wagner Sheff Wed manager whoever.

Top 6 defense is it what you basing that on. Track record, wages, experience, goals conceded, goals scored, Ariel duels won, mistakes leading to goals, fee, passing stats, interceptions, blocks I mean what a waste of time people making pointless unfounded statements based on nothing.

Well unless I’m mistaken he was linked with prem clubs a season a go and touted as a multimillion pound player then had a very very bad season in a poor qpr side seems to be the perfect example of needing a change and getting his confidence back!!!

I think a lot of times the manager impact might be minimal just players naturally getting better as they play more. So someone like Scott how much was his improvement down to Pearson or him naturally improving same with Williams under manning, obviously the top managers make players better like pep and klopp not so sure about this level but who knows.
