  1. A quality player at this level and quite clearly a top professional for the next generation of players coming through.

If there was a deal to be made then we should have made it but I don’t know the facts so good luck to him

  2. I’m guessing he’s lining up a middle 2 midfield variation of Knight, Bird, TGH and Williams (or replacement) with Naismith and McCrorie as fall back options.

I’d have kept James for another 12 months but he could have a 3 year deal lined up closer to home which he couldn’t/wouldn’t match.

Can see him playing for someone like Derby next season, you’d think 1st year back in Championship he’s exactly what they’d want/need

Weimann I’m less concerned about, struggled to have the impact as before, went to WBA and not played much either so again being based in the Midlands you’d think Derby would be ideal

Well we can only judge this on the signings now especially as it seems Williams is spinning a few offers around

Didnt see that interview, hope he gets back in so can definitely see that.

It was the no tippy tappy podcast that came out the other day, can probably find clips on YouTube

You reckon Nige will be back in that game?

If so his esteem of AK is clear . Maybe not Assistant but definitely in the set up.

I’d say more likely than not, in his recent interview he said he would if the right opportunity came up

It just feels the type of thing he’d do for someone he’s loyal to and loyal to him to give him that step up

You can't reason with these people mate.

They consider genuine concern about how the club is run as an 'agenda'

Apparently we all have to tow the line on a forum and must only post positive things.

These people are incapable of any sort of critical thinking.

Ultimately we have at the very most, stagnated this season. We all expected progression this season and I don't think there is any Bristol City fan that can genuinely say we have progressed this season.

Ultimately that falls upon those who run the club but also Manning must take responsibility for that too because we have not progressed under him.

6 games unbeaten is great, but it happened at a time where it is meaningless. No one wants to talk about the bad runs, when it actually mattered, because that doesn't suit their narrative.

If people rate Manning, fair play. You won't see me trolling them because of their support of Manning. Yet some people just can't help themselves because I don't rate him and I don't think he is the guy to take us forward. But apparently I'm not allowed to have those opinions.

Spot on.  I’m starting to see signs of progression but we’ll only know if that’s realised in the first 10 games of next season and if I’m wrong I’m wrong.

It’s a forum, we’re allowed to have different opinions without becoming Sherlock Holmes and assuming it’s because of an X or Y agenda and especially not becoming personal about it.

  6. I’m on the fence so comes down to price.

He was a bit part player I think from Burnley’s promotion so relegation or not with them I think they’ll be open to a deal but it’s how much that £5m price drops.

LM will want to push for him and Kompany saw enough to buy him so there clearly a decent player there

Albeit I’d rather have Benson from Burnley every day of the week!

  7. Today for me:

    - Once and for all answered the James and Williams in the same team question. They don’t compliment each other, they hinder each other. One or the other with Knight

    - Why revert back to playing Knight in the No10 role given how well he’s been playing, again it hinders his performance

    - Highlighted why we need quick players in the forward areas (again) and why someone like their number 14 Thomas is exactly what we’re missing

    - there seems to be no scenerio in which Mebude comes on (I.e Cornick instead at 4-0 up on Weds) so why not have a youth player on the bench whose not been in the matchday squad

There’s plenty more but that’s the main bits as I saw it

  8. I liked the commemorative kit personally so something like that

Simple with no patterns or pin stripes (not a fan, worst kit in ages for me but each to their own) as so many kits now all look the same with the big manufacturers

We don’t have that problem obviously with O’Neils as it’s us, Wycombe and Chew Valley U18’s with a tinge of exclusivity given I’ve been trying to buy my son a goalie kit since Aug but never in stock 🤦‍♂️

FBC Pod - Lez - (paraphrased) Max was nothing special, the shots weren’t in the corner, were weak, or both. Lordy!

That was very odd, I just took it that he was trying to be intentionally provocative for whatever reason.

Max has been outstanding recently and BBC sport and Sky Sports certainly are singing his praises today!

  10. It felt that he dropped the manager manual and played a formation and selection to get out the best of the players we have and all looked far more comfortable doing so

So credit for doing that but this for me is his biggest lesson to learn!
