  1. The gas took 26000 fans to their play off final and most of the top section was not open and yet they are still claiming on gasshat they took 32000 supporters, this is lie. Why are they so obsessed with attendances, it is a bit pathetic. They go on and on about how many fans they could but the facts are they are a poorly supported team.
  2. No that was a different game. I was locked out of the Louis Donawa game which was in 1991, I remember getting back to my flat in Redcliffe and hearing the noise from the crowd. There was still terracing at that game in 1991 and yet there was still 100s locked out because these matches was never all ticket. The Williams gates was forced in about 95/96 , it was the first season we played Rovers having been relegated back to the 3rd tier. The capacity was now just over 20,000 but it was still pay on the day as before, but over 25,000 turned up, gates was forced and both 1000s of City and Rovers fans were locked out. Did more fans turn up to watch that derby match than ever before or should we take the attendances of Rovers and even Swindon matches during the 80s and early 90s with a massive pinch of salt.
  3. Yes, have you ever seen such a bunch of naval gazing, self obsessed football fans. That piece on the tele wasn't just cringeworthy but vomit inducing. Their over inflated opinion of themselves is truly a sign of some sort of mental disorder. Why do they feel the need to write countless books about going on away trips to such footballing hotspots such as Basingstoke and a football season about an below average team in the basement of the football league.
  4. I thought they had to build a car park this month at UWE otherwise they will have to reapply for planning permission. Tick tock
  5. http://gaschat.co.uk/thread/8273/fighting-bristol-rugby Who getting free tickets for the football? City ST holders will get a free ticket for the rugby at the end of the month. It is amazing how they just make things up and they all treat this as facts. Rovers fans are the Donald Trump of football.
  6. Ok Mcwinless didn't manage us in L1, secondly we were only in L1 for two seasons and in our second season we won the league by a country mile and the JPT. Don't you have two Chelsea players on loan. Most of you thread on your forum always mention City, it's just we have a single thread , there is no other mention on you on any other threads. Yes we do ask why a club like Bournemouth can get in the Premiership and do know what is a hell of a league to get out of, so fair play to Bournemouth but we will be knocking on the door this season, not just my view but views of respected pundits and some of the top football journalist in the country. Not sure how you can claim we bottle the big occasion , we got in the Championship play off in 08 ( this is not even a dream for your lot but a fantasy beyond all your expections) and lost but we all loved that season and no City fans have any regret , so how can you claim the team of 16-17 are bottlers that is just silly just like your post which are factually incorrect and full of nonsense.
  7. Do we want our football club to be owned by local people who made good and have the club , the community and the City at the heart of what they want to achieve. Or the club to be owned by overseas Arab business men who come to England on a big ego trip trying to make name for themselves. I always find it slightly disconcerting that Rovers fans users Jordians flags for their avitars on line. I never saw Cardiff or Man City fans using flags of their foreign owners. Rovers made a great play in the past about them being a grass root club , than a foreign owner comes along promising riches and quickly they sold their principals quicker than the Lib Dems trying to get into a coalition government.
  8. I see that's rovers have only sold 56 tickets so far for their trip to Sheff Utd. Worst supporters in the country, that is a fact because all the fans of other clubs I speak to really hate the gas and much prefer City.
  9. How old is Weal ? Mid 40s? So when he was a young teenager Rovers were forced to move to Bath because they struggling to get crowds of over 5000 at Eastville.
  10. Read the article , complete drivel from someone from Swindon, which possible the most tedious boring awful place in the country , who's football teams have been involved in more financial scandal you can wave a stick at. And yet those Gas numpties are lapping up. What the gas scum keeps forgetting is that other fans don't like us because we are either a rival of them or they are jealous of us , the gas are irrelevant
  11. Philgas is a typical gas head. Wants to portray themselves has plucky old Rovers who are the family club and are everyone else's 2nd favourite club because they have the best fans in the world, and then want to claim they have some of the top hooligans in the country. You and your fans and the club as all are a complete joke. Your club is really beyond parody.
  12. Back to Back promotion from the conference to League is very common, and then that club reaches its level. It just shows how bad the Conference and League 2. Yeovil Town, Fleetwood, Stevenage all have done back to back promotions in recent years. But obviously the gas will be claiming that their back to back promotion is unique
  13. Keeping come mate . I think you protest to much, Come on admit it. On that Friday when the take over was announced you did dare to dream.
  14. Most of your fans are claiming that he is a Billionaire. BBC Football Focus on Saturday claimed he was a Billionaire. Made in Bristol TV yesterday called him a Billionaire, There is a disconnect here, when he took over Rovers why did all you fans assume the UWE Stadium will get built? Answer because it was announced he was a billionaire and that the outcome of the judicial reveiw had no bearing on Rovers ability to build their new staduim, and yet you are no further forward in you dream than when Higgs was Chairman. Lets face it, you have been taken in by a fake shake and now you are to embarrassed to admit the truth or claim all along that you knew he wasn't the 6th richest man on the planet. Inside yourself you are hurting, you and your Gas mates thought you won the lottery, you did buy you lost the ticket, how does it feel.? The more you protest the more joy I get out of you , so keep telling everyone on here that he is a bussiness man and he won't be throwing his money at Rovers, while we are happy to sit in a state of the art brand new Ashton Gate funded by OUR Billionaire owner, in the knowledge of knowing if we have a good season in the transfere market we can be challenging in the top half of the Championship and we a little luck, who Knows.
  15. Your full off BS mate, every one and I mean every one connected Bristol Rovers from the tea lady, fans, and Gas Heads who work in the media , belived that your man was a mutli mutli billionaire, on the same level as the Man City owners and you all thought you will be in the prem in a few season and playing in the champions leauge. As it turns out you still can't even afford to build your cheap souless bowl of a stadium at UWE but you might build a car park there in October. DC and the team as done well this season but he will not be the first to get promoted from the Conference and then go on toget promoted the following season to L1, it is a regular occurrence. If you do or don't get promoted this season will you have the biggest budget in L1 or L2 if not why not , after all he is the 6th richest man in the world, this is not me claiming this but your fans on national radio . Your fans made these claims on radio phone in and not once did the local media the ex board or current board quash these rumours. I went to birmingham last week for work and got chatting to some West Brom fans and they mention the Rovers take over by Billionaire Arabs and how they are going to do a Man City, when I told them he is not as wealthy as first thought and they still can't affford to build thier new stadium, they did have a little chuckle. You have again became a laughing stock.
  16. http://www.itv.com/news/west/story/2016-02-19/live-blog-bristol-rovers-takeover/ Scoll down and read the twiiter quote from Bristol Rovers official twitter account.
  17. The day they took over the gas , so called news outlets, Bristol post , Radio Bristol were claiming that they were now going full steam ahead with the UWE stadium and the High court case had no bearing on the build of the UWE stadium, so it also seems that so called professional journalist also have been fooled. But they have not yet reported honestly and retracted the claims that the gas new owner is one of the worlds richest men and this will make Rovers a footballing super power because thier credability will be in tatters. Geoff Twentyman who is one of the biggest cheer leaders for the gas and BBC points west David Garmson who is also gas must be regretting the way they got carried away with all the hype when the take over was done. They along with others in the local press got far to carried away and didn't do their job. Rovers good form at the momment is nothing to do with new board, credit to dopey Dazzer he is not doing a bad job ( I do hope they crash and burn) so I think questions about their new board is not being asked by their support, however come the summer will they have money to make big signings or even money to keep hold of thier best players, my guest is no and then it will dawn on the numb skulls that they have also been taken in and Higgs co will be laughing all the way to the bank.
  18. I have know the Chaplin since the 1980s, back then City had one of the most violent element in the country, Rovers had a half decent mob but the gas wasn't in our leauge , ask the chaplin and he will tell you the same. The gas had a small nasty element who drove around North and East Bristol looking for young City fans wearing colours to attack.
  19. So if the Sainsbury appeal makes no difference to the UWE build. Why aren't the diggers up there preparing the ground. Why wait till the summer. No one at Rovers as confirmed that UWE stadium is going ahead. Still more questions than answers coming out the Mem.
  20. Can we change the thread title to Bullsh1t Rovers
  21. If you owner was has wealthy as you suggest why would you need to sale naming rights. We still play at Ashton Gate , could have sold naming rights years ago but we never sold out. The supporters of this club and owner have a heart and soul something you numptys have never really had .
  22. So UWE are willing to sell off their land are they , so whats in it for UWE apart from a quick buck. I also thought that UWE staduim was a unique partnership between football club and Univeristy and that what made it special and more than just another staduim not my words but your fans on Radio Bristol. Again you have shown to have no ethics and are deluded in thinking UWE will just sale to you after all they have invested into the project.
