  1. Yep his never say die attitude won us the penalty, he had no right to get the ball but just nipped in ahead of their defender.

We really didn't play well at all today but for once we actually ground out a result! Very solid at the back, Osborne in particular was an absolute rock, and they never really looked like scoring.

It was a gritty performance from us and was an excellent smash and grab.

Through the middle (bar JET) we were astute and kept our discipline.

Not criticising JET as SC seems to give him a free role to stay bright and pull opposing players in to open up space for others. Just didn't work today, but will another.

I'd say our main concern is the lack of width. We struggle when opposing full backs push forwards and fail to link up when attacking on the flanks.

    5-3-2/3-5-2 formation(s) have this issue.

  2. Only bad thing about his performance today is knowing the fact that eventually all-bad and flint will soon be back.

He looked a good signing today and would be nice to have him until the end of the season

I think SC is bold enough to stick with the right players and not drop them for as long as Osbourne & Nosworthy play how they did today.

A back 4 of Maloney -- Osbourne -- Nosworthy -- Williams/Cunningham would be as good as any in this league and also would compete in the Championship.

As it stands, I'd say that if you put Flint & El Abd as our CB's then we look very nervy and easily compromised.

  3. It's a genuine concern of mine that he will revert to a more "direct" ugly style of football when given the chance to sign players.

It is also a great hope of mine that he will not do the above.

Your hissy fit is just embarrassing.

    Not really going to happen.

His main principle has been to keep the ball rolling and (players) to keep moving. Hoof ball not promoted.

  4. This isn't right surely. Dawn raids are for the art of surprise, such as catching the person with drugs, dodgy porn, slaves in the basement, person on the run etc etc, but why a dawn raid for idiots running on the pitch?

Just in-case that on the off chance, one of them might have a job to get up in the morning for?!

    Seems unlikely though.

These aren't going to be your regular pitch invader, these are people caught on film being naughty boys.

  5. Surely when selecting a kit there should be certain criteria to meet. Not in any particular order :-

    1. It should look good, classy and better than the run of the mill chosen from stock patterns.

    2. Be clearly visible to team mates, last seasons was questionable.

    3. Be comfortable to wear.

    4. Shirts that allow you to breath properly, (no tight necks).

    5. Shorts that don't restrict movement.

    6. It should make you look fit, fast, and skillful, I've always thought white socks make the feet look faster and Arsenals shirts make their chests look larger.

It seems like lot's of decisions taken nowadays are, firstly down to cost, then how much profit they can make selling them on.

    Get the basics right first.

To prove kit selection is related to success, take a look over the river, now you know why the gas are so shit.

Unfortunately, is more of a case (with Adidas):

    1. Correct colour

    2. Pick a template - one for home one for away

    3. Bite your thumb in anticipation for fans opinions

I'd like us to have a kit brand that will create a unique design, rather than templates.

This can be achieved without being tied in with a second rate company who works for one of the big brands.

Basically no Puma, Adidas or Nike kit deals please.

I personally like the away shirt more but think we'd do better with another brand in future.

  6. I suggest that Alex Ferguson may disagree quite strongly with regards your point it has no baring on performances. The grey kit they wore against Southampton being an example of a kit that had a direct effect on the teams's performance.

I'd also suggest that it's very much in our interest as a club that a popular kit is chosen, as the club can make a considerable amount of money on kit sales, influencing a great many other area of the club, including facilities, transfers, etc. So, a decent kit can also have an indirect impact on a team's performance.

A decent kit is also important for other reasons of identity, culture, heritage etc, - as any Cardiff fan will tell you.

So, no - it's not just a ****ing shirt.

Don't get carried away - it was just a ****ing shirt.

So, whats your final opinion?
