I didn’t know how old James was when Nige signed him. I (wrongly) assumed that as James had been with the Foxes when Nige was there that he’d be around late 20s early 30s.

Unsurprisingly I never do any background checks on players that City sign - I just post complete and utter bollux in the hope I'll get some attention - and I leave that to you and others who seem to relish that kind of research.

Or content to save money for the summer, hoping / knowing we won’t go down?

Maybe, but by - effectively - exposing Sam Bell he's done him no favours..... Bell stuck to his task but didn't try many forward passes and looked like his confidence had taken a real blow. Isn't part of Nige's job to bring through the young players and manage that pathway. Sure Scott seems to cope with anything that comes his way......I'm sure he'd go in goal and do ok !! ....but he's an extraordinary talent.   I get that a loan might block the pathway but they're short term and shredding a lad's confidence isn't great management either

Have supported City for nearly 50 years but not sure how much more of this dross I can take! We are no further forward than when we got rid of Holden, probably worse in fact.

Agreed, Pearson has managed us for 51 games and won just 13 of them. That's an awful record.

If I was Nige I wouldn't be answering my phone tonight if Steve Lansdown's name popped up incoming !

I’m confused. Reports saying Mike Ashley has pulled out again. His mates are going to re name him Rhythm Method!

He must be a Roman Catholic.....,.. pulled out at the last minute!

So pretty much all of you (and me) above are taking a cynical view….yet there’s a big love-in on twitter - what a marvellous gesture type shit.

He is trying to get his laundered money out…before it’s seized.

Indeed he's also selling his London house and other properties.......£150M for the Kensington gaff in case you fancy a place in town for those London away City games.

I find that as long as I log into the VPN before opening the browser then it's fine, if I forget and load the site before the VPN then that's when I run into issues.

Same for me, I sign out of the OS, close Chrome then turn on the VPN (I use the free windscribe as recommended by Davefevs ?) and log into RTV. Never any issues here in Frankfurt.

As an aside I just looked at RTV and I see the game is available to buy for the £10 even though I'm currently not using a vpn so I believe it's available to all tonight including UK residents. Of course it's also on the red button .

The Old Firm is largely why I consider the SP to be a two horse race every season - either one of them win. When was the last time any club other than Rangers or Celtic won it?

    Its boringly predictable……….

Aberdeen in 1985 under Alex Ferguson..

Since 1894 the top division has been won by a non old firm side 14 times. The old firm have won 106 times,

Agree and can’t see us shopping for the same kind of players as a club like WBA with their benefit of parachute payments.  Would be nice if we were trying to snap up someone with a record of unearthing lower league gems.

If the Lansdown’s are serious about sorting out the financial mess they’ve created, that’s surely where we really should be recruiting from. If not, it may be more about providing the right image for potential buyers.

Under Mark Ashton he often used the phrase "We fish in ponds, rivers, and lakes"

Well now we're fishing in that puddle at the bottom of the garden.

  9. Jon Lansdown proving yet again that there's no task he can't screw up.

SL must have though it would be fine, get the boy to do the announcement of a new sponser which should be welcome news given the way the wind is blowing regarding betting companies in sport, give a short speech and informally chat with a few selected media types after for half an hour. What could possibly go wrong?

Well now he's upset Nige, caused the local rag to poke into into the way SL has run the club - which SL was hoping everybody had forgotten about - and caused the press release to be issued with more redactions than a Sue Gray report.

Steve - If you want a job doing properly ................

I remember my great grandad only had a black and white tv and loved watching the snooker!

Back in the day the famous Whispering Ted Lowe commentating uttered the immortal words "and for those of you who are watching in black and white, the pink is next to the green." !

Haha that’s how far removed I am from it, I don’t even know the channel!  No BT either!

Are you still watching on a black and white TV as well !

Tip - give colour a try.... especially when watching the snooker.
