  1. It's unbelievable that in a mini league of teams from 5th to 16th I bet we would be top. In the same league of 17th to 24th we would be rock bottom. Just another mad thing this season
  2. Lee Johnson: Great job at Oldham turning perennial relegation battlers into a solid upper midtable side. Got a move to Barnsley, poor run followed by a brilliant run, left them in a good position and they got promoted. Liam Manning: Play offs with MK Done followed by a sacking in the relegation zone and they indeed went down. Appointed Oxford manager, saved them from relegation and had them challenging after a low number of games, now fading after he left. Whose CV was better at the time of joining us? Probably Johnson as he had more consistent improvement in his sides
  3. An oasis of delusion again from these gentlemen. Of course we were going to play ok, as we have done all season against these types of teams

First major decision in a new role he is unqualified for was to sack Nige and appoint Manning. Absolute gross negligence and incompetence of the highest order. Picture of him overseeing training on Mannings first day scared the living shit out of me. Too weird all around and he must go
  5. Depends if you go for the short term or long term view. Do I want us to win tonight? Yes of course Does something dramatic need to happen to get rid of Tinnion first of all, and old man Lansdown to come to his senses re correct help for his son? Yes it does Sadly I think a few heavy defeats towards the end of the season causing more obvious angst amongst the fanbase to Tinnion and the Lansdowns is more in the long term interests of our success than bumbling our way to 56 points (as long as we survive in the league)
  6. The Lansdowns are incredibly lucky they preside over a somewhat passive certainly insecure and unsure fanbase (build up over years of underachievement) No other fanbase as big as ours would be so accepting in the face of such nonsense from the owners
  7. And Tecknical Directors and Chairmen even if we cannot influence actual ownership
  8. Get rid of one to the Bahamas or Bermuda or whenever it is with Daddy's money and the other to FGR Happy days
  9. 'The Club announce the departure of Tecknical Tinnion' would make me very happy Thanks for your service now **** off to Forest Green Rovers
  10. Hopefully she doesn't like football
  11. How long til Gay disappears like Tinnion and Lansdown have ?
  12. What the lad that got Caerdydd promoted twice?
  13. Hardest question I've ever seen. If I answer no what's the alternative to sack or keep?
  14. Bang on I just think there is zero point aiming the anger at Manning. He's as much a victim (albeit a wealthier one) as the rest of us at the hands of Tinnion and Lansdowns
  15. I'd prefer energies were focused on the real problem at the club and it most definitely isn't Manning
  16. Hope I can get out our road because I do have a flight later!! Arghh
  17. Hate to think what our points total would be if we had more than 1 poor performance in 20
  18. We went LOSE LOSE LOSE LOSE 6-0 LOSE Holden sacked LOSE 1-0 Couldn't get out of our half, player in tears Nigel appointed as manager 22nd February Pearson joins Robins as manager - Bristol City FC (bcfc.co.uk) WIN 23rd February You think the win was just a random coincidence?
  19. Ok he was in the stands at Boro, which knowing the character of the man was enough of a boost for the players to put in a very very good performance, night and day from the Barnsley game
  20. I will never forget the game before Pearson came in. We played Barnsley at home, barely got out of our half and had our club captain in tears at the end of the game. If we only needed 5 more to be points to be safe then we probably would have got them somehow over 16 games, but Pearson came in and got them straightaway. He definitely saved us at least from any sign of a relegation battle.
  21. I liked him and 50 goals is worth a cheer
  22. Manning needs less than Lansdown and Tinnion that's for sure 60 points will be enough for the fans regarding Manning, however for the two above him anything less than 65 points and top 10 at least is a damning failure of their actions
  23. I would say there is a clear correlation between the use of 'Severnside Derby' starting maybe 10 years ago and the watering down of the rivalry. I agree with your second point and it's no doubt as they have Swansea as their main derby every year whereas ours is Cardiff
  24. No surprise to see us marooned alone as slow in possession and poor at keeping the ball. Neither one thing nor the other. Where on that chart is Manning trying to get us? More up with Ipswich/Coventry I hope, not boring everyone with possession football like Swansea or Southampton but retaining it somewhat whilst passing directly through the lines
  25. I agree with all this and have often wondered what our recruitment would look like if we ever made it. Are we really any different whatsoever to our peer clubs though who I perceive to be the likes of Coventry, Stoke, Cardiff, Birmingham, etc. Similar supporter base, similar sized grounds, ok maybe some have recent Prem experience but what would they do that we wouldn't? How are Luton doing it? How did Swansea survive so long? What about Burnley who despite being a smaller club (certainly at the time in 2009 compared to where we are now) are as close a comparison to what we hope to do, midtable Champ for many many many many years then snuck in through the play offs one year and haven't really looked back.
