  1. I guess it still mitigates the risk to a degree? You're still going to be bringing over 100k people to one place that would otherwise not come into contact with that many people? (using Glastonbury as an example)
  2. FlyBe has collapsed and blamed it partly on Corona Virus. To be fair they've had issues for a while but I expect the sudden drop in demand wont have helped against budgeted figures
  3. I think i'm the same. I was in the "meh, this is overblown" category and I still think it will be all forgotten in a few weeks (or at least wont be dominating the media) That said, we've had two people turn up to work who have recently been to North Italy just before it hit the news and another come back from Helsinki on Monday. We also work in an environment with lots of products shipped in and out from around the world, and lots of eastern european workers coming and going from across the continent so that chances of it coming in are probably higher than a typical office job. I've got a couple of relatives who are generally unwell already so I wouldn't want to potentially catch something and passing it on before I even realise I've got it. I'm certainly not in panic mode, I'll be gutted if Glastonbury and the Euro's get cancelled
  4. has A manager ever joined a club and done so badly? Weren’t they top 4 when he came in and then won 1 since ? couldn’t make it up!
  5. 80% of the population ? I think you’re being a bit dramatic.
  6. Really? That’s exactly the sort of thing that would get posted here too
  7. No, it shows the mindset of one rovers fan. We’ve got our own idiots remember
  8. Do we just say this every time a club goes under, until the next time? Nothing’s changing within football and if anything the spending/gambling on promotion is getting more reckless
  9. I dont think we're ones to comment about performances against Sunderland
  10. Not dodgy at all signing those 2 McKay lads... ?
  11. I agree. I'll leave the debate about him being part of our downfall this season to the other threads. He deserves thanks for steadying the ship and being a part of our title winning season, and regardless of how its turned out he at least deserved a "thanks for your service" from the club. I bet LJ gets more when he finally goes!
  12. Had the game been played on Tuesday we wouldnt have known any different!
  13. The biggest cliche in football. At half time the next goal is always vital - unless your 4-0 down
  14. Loving this! Missed the first goal but what a half. Only seen this game and leeds so far this season, cant see what all the moaning is about we're gonna win the league
  15. When was the last time England lost a competitive game to a team below them in the rankings? im sure Uruguay were above us going into the last WC. We didn't lose at the euros, 2010 Germany must have been above us? So I make it Ukraine in 2009. weve lost some friendlies that we shouldn't have, but so do other countries. Look at Spain. Terrible WC campaign as defending champions and lost to Slovakia in qualifying. Ultimately we are a top 10 team that will beat most teams we play until we get to the later stages of a tournament.
  16. Why? Some will argue you can name 10 teams better than England but based on what? Their style of play? Their top players? Their results? Belgium are currently ranked number 2 - they are hugely over rated. They haven't beaten anyone worth raving about, cant even credit them for beating France as they are poor now. Only 2 teams have beaten us in a competitive fixture since Germany trounced us 5 years ago. Last years WC was a farce, but I still think we are a top 10 team at least. We are certainly better than Romania, Belgium, Chile and Wales, regardless of what those rankings might say, though I'd accept that Italy and Spain would still be above us and possibly Netherlands (along with the other teams that are above)
  17. Think that says it all, we did in fact batter them last night and but for some poor finishing it could have been a riot
  18. In fact il go one better, alchohol clearly clouded my judgement of the game because I didn't realise quite how much we dominated possession and chances (according to the stats on sky). In my defence, when you are 2-0 down in a bar full of Leeds scum, you need to drink a LOT to get through it. I still have concerns over the 3-5-2 in this league, but it's clear to see the fight and team spirit exists, and that's worth a lot!
  19. Yep, I fully accept I was wrong. Great end to the game and proved me wrong. It was VERY difficult not to go wild in Billy's, I'd probably be in an ambulance if I had.
  20. Agreed, not an open goal as such but certainly a very good opportunity. It definitely looked like the keeper saved it though
  21. How the hell did he completely miss that!! Wouldn't say it was easier to score, but not far off!!
