  1. Definitely an option, but then I’ve found lots of new city people to follow lately by using the “for you” and it’s useful for finding new content, lots of FPL accounts popping up for me now too as an example.
  2. Bells a strange one, looked completely lost first half at West Ham but then grew into the game and got better and better, commentators were loving him. Does he need a loan to league 1 to get a full season in him? Must be a low earner and won’t command much of a fee so wouldn’t harm us to hold him. Theres a player in there but he needs more coaching and more experience.
  3. Another memory from growing up was that my grandparents would get me a football shirt from anywhere they went on holiday so I always had a random collection and I’ve carried on the tradition. Annoyingly my parents got rid of a lot of them when I out grew them so I’m slowly trying to re-purchase the older kits I know I used to have. As retro has made a bit of a comeback it’s made it an expensive hobby
  4. I grew up local enough and I’m sure there’s plenty of us from wiltshire on here. My connection was built by my Dad and as I say his by his Dad (and watching city in the top division helped imagine!). I don’t have much in common with him especially now, but I also don’t have many warmer memories than going to football with him. It wasn’t something we could afford to do every week so it was usually special occasions such as birthdays etc. And still now I can’t make every game but il go to a game any chance I get wherever it is, whoever it’s against, whatever the league table looks like because watching City is special to me. I fell in love with Bristol as a City because of my club, and in a dream world I’d come and live there but things didn’t work out that way (yet).
  5. We can barely stock our own club shop! But you’re right, imagine some of our flashier shirts of late such as the keeper kits, I reckon they’d sell decent amounts somewhere like an airport as the design would appeal to people as a gift for family etc. Or maybe it’s just me who looks out for random nice football shirts when abroad
  6. I better start following Bath then instead? And my kids won’t support City. I like the sentiment but that’s not how it works. Truth is most fans follow family links, realistically I’m only a city fan because my dad took me as a kid - and he started going with his Dad in the 70s. With no link to Bristol why do you think they chose City as a local team to go and watch? Probably the relative success. I don’t get the 2 club thing though, and it always amuses me how many people come out the woodwork for the big games - who spend most of their time talking and arguing about Chelsea/united/liverpool etc.
  7. Whilst I generally agree with you, what concerns me last night is the way we setup and played. Stinks of naivety that LM felt we could go out and try and play the same way against a very good Leeds side. After about 10-15 mins and that Tanner slip we looked devoid of confidence and there was no plan B. Leeds are very good, I won’t deny that and some teams we just won’t beat, but that was a dreadful performance.
  8. Tins just confirmed that it’s all agreed, option to buy and fee agreed
  9. Just a side point, you don’t even need to be that. If you click on someone’s tweet and/or profile, you’ll see more of their content. I saw a flat earth posted and clicked through someone’s profile just out of curiosity how someone could be so stupid - I now regularly see their content on my “for you” timeline That’s also why there’s a flurry of these female football fans lately. Attention seeking hoping people will click through to their page and eventually see something that makes them interact! And lastly Elon Musk’s tenure made a change that subscribers replies go to the top of the reply list - so it’s easy to get your content seen, and there’s a lot of bots about now.
  10. Anyone received their tickets in the post? the person who got me one hasn’t received it yet and this is the last day I can pick it up from him before Wednesday. if it has to be collected on Wednesday anyone know what they’ll be like about picking up a ticket in someone else’s name?
  11. I like the look of this, from the very little I’ve seen of highlights. I said we needed a Semenyo type and a Scott type. This lad and Twine *could* be those players to an extent. This lad with an option to buy too if he’s any good.
  12. We may not be the only ones interested in the summer if he’s free, and risk getting outbid. Seems sensible business on reflection
  13. Don’t really see what’s in it for the player, must be a decent contract offer? It’s good for us as it’s secured someone who we clearly rate, who may have more options / better contract offer / ambition to say after promotion in the summer
  14. Social media and piss taking never care for context though Given how many games we've had recently people have to make a choice. I chose Forest over Cov (even though I've been City Ground but not been Cov's ground) I've chosen Southampton over Leeds, but even that's up in the air at the moment as I'll also want to go if we beat Forest. Been an expensive year already following City! 400 tickets currently left for Forest
  15. The nature of the equaliser is frustrating but it wasn’t a bad game, or performance. It’s better than the games with no shots on target but still lacking quality in the final third as we all know. A bit of concentration loss for both goals, perhaps that’s just a consequence of so many games lately? Im expecting nothing against Leeds so that’s a free hit for me tbh.
  16. Now he’s talking about Middlesbrough on Sunday? Is he ok?
  17. Downsy: “let’s see the other goal… poor maxi, nothing he could do about that one”
  18. I think he should have done better, Dickie also switched off and lost his man. Be interesting to see a replay for offside though
  19. There’s the magic Conway to wells, back of the net
