  1. Great move for Tammy in the best city on earth, IMO. Coming up against the likes of Chiellini, Bonucci and Kjaer should be the making of him.

    Adam Nagy

It stands to reason that Nagy is a high earner, as are Kalas, Palmer and Wells. NP has said we need to reduce our wage bill. If buyers can be found for them, I wouldn’t be surprised to see all of them leave before the end of the month (although Palmer seems to have a future).
  3. Jean’s is great, and Kandyan.
  4. Poor two sessions from last us today, but winning the final session has us in with a sniff. We need to bat a damn site better than we did first up, mind
  5. Assuming Glos lose to Hants next week, which is eminently possible, it would be a travesty that a side with FIVE CC wins this season doesn't go through to the First Division IMO. Yorkshire, who are top of Group 3, are the only other team to have won as many games as we have at this stage of the competition. I think we'll be up against versus Hampshire.
  6. Brilliant spell of 4 wickets in 10 balls from Taylor. It was a different pitch when it’s overcast, seemingly.
  7. I agree. To rub salt into the wounds, Payne's not in the England XI either, which begs the question: why call him up?
  8. With the greatest respect, you clearly don’t watch Glos very often if you think Bracey should be in this latest England squad. His confidence is shot, IMO, although I hope today’s knock does him the world of good.
  9. And he took our best bowler, and captain. It's not affecting us yet, fortunately.
  10. Fair play to Somerset. They got their yorkers in and we lacked any invention to get around them. Losing the toss was a bat start for us as well, we prefer to chase. He will. Extraordinary to think he's not even sure he'll get back into NZ after this summer, because of the virus and the fact he doesn't have a NZ passport!
  11. Spin's definitely the way to go in Bristol. Not only are we shit at playing it, but our spinner (Tom Smith) is probably our best T20 bowler in terms of economy rate.
  12. I'm not a big fan of T20 but I popped down last night and my god did Phillips smash it everywhere. That reserve sweep over third man was an incredible shot, but I loved his shots in the V. A controlled, classy, violent innings. Smith also bowled very well.
  13. I put down RB as a priority because right now, we don’t have one and I’m yet to be convinced Vyner has what it takes at this level. Big season for him next year.
  14. Yeah, you’re absolutely right. We’ve got the nucleus of a decent side, but take out those three and add Higgins’ and Dent’s losses of form and this is the result. Ah well, it was nice while it lasted.
  15. This Glos side annoyingly looked a lot different on a dry pitch that turned. Not only don’t we have a decent spinner, we can’t play spin either.
  16. He started as an offie, don’t forget. Dismal from Glos over these last three days. Everyone knows the class of Amla, but we let a strong position on day one slip and batted woefully.
  17. A mate and I have tickets for that and will be going, weather permitting. I've heard Bracey will keep for England this week. Great news for Glos fans and thoroughly deserved for the dirty gashead. I'd like to see Hameed come straight in for either Sibley or Burns. Burns has more form right now, though.
  18. Good point, I’d overlooked that. Surrey will still have Amla and Stoneman, though. I reckon Bracey’s 50/50 for his Test debut, in which case he might play at the Oval. Silverwood will probably go Burns, Sibley, Crawley, Root, Pope, Bracey/Lawrence, Foakes, Robinson/Overton, Leach, Wood, Anderson.
  19. I’m not. Happy days, despite today’s farce! Game in hand next week at the Oval to pull further clear, even if we lose we should still pick up bonus points. I’d back us to beat Leics and Middx, Hants should be the toughest of our games left (unless Surrey’s top five fire next week).
  20. Doesn't bode well for the rest of the game. It was brighter when they went off than it was when they started, FFS.
  21. Shocking from Lammomby. Headless chicken!
  22. I've got a ticket for Friday as well, mate. Shame the forecast is for biblical rain. Let me know if you fancy a pint. Today's forecast reckons we might get the morning session in, but it looks grim after lunch. Friday and Sunday look washouts as well. It's raining up here now but if ever there was a day to bowl first, today is it (not that it'll affect the inevitable draw).
