Spot on NR!
Interesting to read through this thread - and if you can't bother to read the whole lot, have a look back at page 8.

Id rather have shite going forward, than shite in defence...
Trouble is, you need someone who can defend from left midfield too, and at Fulham Leko didn’t do either

Seriously don't know how a professional official can get so many so blatant decisions so wrong.

Usually quite positive, but I've got a horrible feeling about today. I think it will all go wrong, not just us losing but others around us all have winnable games today, and I can just see us losing 3 posts on Blackburn, Forest Birmingham and Burton toady.
Being positive, I've generally been wrong this season, so hoping that continues.

Hoping for a win of course. For the club, for the confidence boost, for the points, but also for this place. In the meltdown that will follow a defeat there'd be a serious risk of heart attack! Stay safe fellow OTIBers!!

and THAT in one word EXPECTED is all you need to say, why should we expect it, somebody? has bought the players picks the team sets out the game plan and makes changes if and when they need changing, for some reason despite dominating the game and winning very comfortably decides to change everything that had previously worked so well takes off two players, so basically saying to derby we are happy with what we have got why don't you see if you can beat us we may as well run up the white flag, I knew as soon as we conceded 1 goal that a draw was all we were going to get to say I am angry is an understatement
A bit unfair I think. The second half was always going to be a different game: we needed a slower pace, sit a bit deeper and catch them in the break. Our first half was very high tempo and energy and as players tired there's every reason to make changes: it's not about 'throwing in the towel'.
For 10 minutes they threw everything at us and the plan worked. Like you, I had visions of Reading and Cardiff when they got their first. But what I also know is that if Matt Taylor hadn't contrived to miss from half a yard then we would have won that game. That came soon after their first and would have been exactly what we needed to settle our nerves and ruffle theirs and their fans again. That was nothing to do with game plans, substitutions, and its something no-one can legislate for.
I also knew that when they got their third with time to spare that we'd lose. But we didn't!

Tomlin on the bench, he looked quite unhappy on bcfc snapchat :/
I'd hope he was unhappy. It's how he responds that matters.

This is a forum with a tiny % of fans. We've been getting good home and away attendances. The fans at games have not vented any frustration
The fans are in no way to blame
I'm not sure if you're intending to be ironic, apologies if you are. I'm not "blaming" anyone: that's the whole point. All the energy and passion that's spent trying to apportion blame, which doesn't really serve any useful purpose, is what I'm talking about. Might only be small % on here, that's not the point. I'm just making the observation.

Reading this thread and forum today I can't help thinking that if we could devote half the passion and commitment to supporting the team, manager and each other, instead of to slagging off the team, manager and each other, we'd be the best supported side in the country.

So Brum have a player sent off in the dying minutes and their next opponents are going to benefit .
Not only that: ref stops the game when we are 3 on 2 going into the box and a clear scoring opportunity. So not only do we not benefit, we are disadvantaged.

People need to wake up!! we're shit and haven't played well for ages.
We've just played well for 45 minutes!! Last season we were well beaten here, this year we've more than held our own.

Shocking poor refereeing

I think we're doing ok. Definitely more movement in midfield with Pack and Reid in there. We've created chances, always going to be playing on the break here and we just need to move it a little bit quicker. They've had chances too but for the most part we have coped well, mags has won everything in the air. Donaldson's runs worry me though,

Pack for Smith. Stop them running through the middle with freedom. Anyone for Bryan.

It was a standard build in that it was rolled out in indenti-kit format across the country.... it may have been ahead of it's time in design, but that exact design was put up all over the country. Something can be new and innovative without being unique.
Oh yeah, agree: all I'm saying is it was one of the first (if not the first without pillars?). Sure it became the standard design, but maybe in 5 years everyone will be putting up Lansdown stands!!!
-
The Dolman was anything but "standard build" at the time it was built. One of the very first with no pillars, multi purpose (bowls) etc. It was way ahead of its time. Just that it was built a long time ago, and that time has has passed and moved on since!

That's not tempting fate, Miah, that's a statement of the bleedin' obvious! You always do it! All the way back down the M4 yesterday we were telling the radio 5 commentators that Accrington were not "up, at 0-0"!

Buongiorno from Rome. Here for the Lazio Roma derby tomorrow - a result at Hull will be the perfect start to the weekend, going for a 1-1.

Given how 'immoral' Shamesburys have acted throughout this process, how would you react if gasheads started actively shoplifting from their stores, it is wrong and immoral of course but I guess it's the only way the little man wins against these corporations.
Hang on....who's the 'little man' here. I though Rovers were the third richest club in the country???

Came to OTIB first for the stadium appeal update, so thanks guys.
Just a quick one though:
Rovers have said that the outcome of their court case with Sainsbury's is "no longer relevant"
Rovers have said a lot of things throughout this whole saga. Very few of them have turned out to be right.....

Maybe, but at least those other companies, even Sports Direct, have the good grace to put their hands up and apologise. All we've had from the gas is a 'no comment'.
I want to know whether this is their stadium staff being underpaid, or their central defenders?
