  1. Red shirt and white shorts home kit, white shirt / red or black shorts away. Badge featuring robin, suspension bridge and probably ball (you know what I mean!!). Simple. No more nonsense. Now I feel better. Thanks
  2. Very fond memories of Shelts in a City shirt. Think I remember watching him score a lovely goal away at Barnsley?? A mate of mine is a massive Sheff Weds fan and we both remember Shelts as a class act in our respective colours.
  3. RIP Big Fella. Another great player from a golden age of footy gone.
  4. Welcome Haydon! And well done all concerned at City.
  5. A great player, from a great football era. RIP.
  6. I like him. A lot. He's class. But I'd move him on as part of the rebuild as he's not been available enough. Harsh, but if we really want things to change for the better, well.....
  7. Unless Jason "Dozzle" is on the pitch of course.
  8. We're all feeling pretty buoyant at the moment - and rightly so - with the progress the club has made thus far under NP, and most recently of course in the transfer market. May the good business continue! As for next season, well it looks as though the Championship is going to be a very competitive, tough and exciting place to be. I'm not anticipating a play-off place finish for us, but would like to see a top ten finish. COYR! OTIB
  9. That's the spirit Major! Our first EFL triumph, with TC, having achieved what he had as a player, clutching that little trophy like it was his first born, and crying tears of pure joy. I will never forget that. Made me so proud to be a City fan. Precious.
  10. Well done to all at West Ham - especially our Moysey! As for those mocking their achievement - well I'd be pretty thrilled to see City beating an Italian Serie A team in a European final. So why shouldn't they be?
  11. Well there are a few interesting names on that list, but I wouldn't be looking to pursue any of them if it was up to me.
  12. RIP fellow Robin. Fly high.
  13. Yes indeed Major, a mixed bag of clubs, like any other. With regard to those who have arrived here directly from Scotland and struggled, Lee Miller was a stand out disappointment for me. We've had many a,gem over the years though.
  14. Yes, and I can't help but feel that we, the fans have been a lot less demanding than fans at other clubs might be. Of course we all acknowledge the impact that SL has had on our club (and indeed sport in Bristol if your tastes are broader than football). BUT, wasn't the original mission to get the football team into the Premier League as soon as possible?? Or am I mistaken? My memory is not as good as it was in what seems a long time ago.
  15. Yes, it's been this way for a long time now. Anything City related tends to be on the negative - we "fail" they "miss out", they're "edged out by a strong side" whereas we are "beaten by a below par side" etc. I'm sure that this is part of the reason that their fans are so deluded, and some of ours are perpetually disappointed.
  16. So, "He's not the messiah..........." More senior Reds will know.
  17. Just a reflection of the day, where "my facts" appear to carry the same validity as "the facts". As an aside, I was in ASDA around the time of the pandemic when i noticed a sign on the banana shelves saying " sorry no bananas due to problems in the Atlantic". I jauntily asked one of the members of staff if this was due to the U-boats being back. He said he didn't really know but would ask a Manager if he could find one, or perhaps I could Google it to find out. I did. It wasn't.
  18. Yep, I share your frustration, and spent a little time reflecting on this last night. I'll always maintain that we should have got to the top flight in the first few seasons of SL's tenure, using the tried and tested methods employed by the likes of Reading, Wigan and others, be they fair, moral or otherwise. I genuinely thought that that was the plan, at a time in football when FFP meant nothing, and acquiring an extremely wealthy owner almost universally led to cries of "well that's them in the Premier League in two or three seasons then..." I'm sure that I wasn't alone in thinking that was "the plan". But, that's the way it goes and although I don't have any strong feelings about either Luton or Coventry, I'll wish them both well for the final. Let's hope that the footballing gods choose to smile on BCFC next season. Enjoy the summer my fellow Reds!! OTIB COYR!
  19. Nice to end on an away win, well played lads, and respect to those who traveled today. Overall, pretty much what I was anticipating for this season. Off to bask in the afterglow of mid-table obscurity. Looking forward to 2023/4 and hoping for a top 10 finish, IF we can secure some good deals (in and out) over the summer. COYR!! OTIB
  20. Surely a player needs to be concussed before agreeing to join the game wearing a rovers shirt??
  21. Job done. Again. Well played Sir.
  22. Joint project by Lego and Subbuteo then.
