Any idea why UEFA/FA banished the word OLD from OLD TRAFFORD on their advertising hoarding/graphics boards around the ground? Very strange indeed. Only thing I can think of is the pride/inclusive nature of todays politically correct snowflakes. ?

Has Scott had any down time since the end of our season, or did he join straight up with the u19's? If so, who put him through a pre-season, us or England? The guy looked spent mentally in the last third of the season, so hope he had a decent rest. Apologies, but can't be bothered to go through the whole thread to find the answer.

This. We must be of similar age. People will frown at this, but I would have no problem with Rovers getting promoted to the Championship if that meant we could have two derbies against them every season. Would make average seasons like this one a bit more bearable. Would definitely bring some of the spirit back having a real passion for supporting City, everything has gone a bit stale and commercial for me over the last five or so years!

Well it could be worse, you could be a Birmingham city fan and have to put up with 3 sides of the grounds lower tiers being given over to advertising at the detriment to the fans and atmosphere. What a f***** disgrace, just like watching a game during covid. On the optical illusion man city advertising, yeah it is twice as distracting as normal, what a sad state of affairs football has become!

This one's a conundrum for me. You can't knock the guys finishing, his shots to goals ratio is very good, but for me we've looked a much more dangerous team without him in the side. In the first half we looked way too pedestrian compared to our recent performances. Is that down to Martin, I'm not sure, but I think long term nige will look to go with his favoured 4231 with semenyo up top

For me that O'dowda non-finish was the main highlight of the game, sacrilege he blazed it over the bar, near unforgivable for me.

Yeah I agree, but this wasn't one of them. If people can't see that was a massive step up from what we have been used to, then I really do wonder if we've been observing the same game!! People moaning that we've conceded a late goal again. Yes its f****** frustrating, but it wasn't anything like the panic stations we'd be used to with wave after wave of attacks due to us sitting so deep and camping out on the edge of our penalty box, hoofing it anywhere like a hot potato!!!! We had ten men FFS and didn't look overly threatened.
