  1. The owner is irrelevant if the guy in charge isn't very good.....
  2. Steve Cotterill will be their next manager.
  3. Post reporting a formal offer made to talk to Clark. He's done a fantastic job, deserves a chance higher up, but I can't help but think Leeds is a huge mistake.
  4. It's like a non league venue yet more expensive than Wembley. £6 for a burger, or a bargain £8.50 is you want chips. They're doing the same £1 plastic glass con as Bristol rugby too.
  5. I went to Glos last night. A truely dreadful experience.
  6. If you think it's dead and buried you obviously don't live or work in Bristol.
  7. It's a great thread. It keeps everything in one place, and provides a chuckle or two. Anyone concerned about the image it projects to "outsiders" needn't worry, they'll probably cringe far more at other threads about City.
  8. On Bristol Rovers, a new director said "one almost without parallel in terms of local support" What?
  9. I need the days above sags link counter thing -too drunk to find it
  10. They've done brilliantly. Fair play. Now back to back relegation would be nice
  11. Some very awkward skeletons have been found in the closet . Whale keeps getting a call from Italy that contains nothing but laughter.
  12. A larger stadium than we needed has helped City double its season ticket holders in a generation. I believe at one time only Nottingham Forest had a higher proportion of under 16 season ticket holders than us. It's paid dividends. Ive no doubt that's exactly the sort of activity Rovers would engage in too.
  13. http://m.bristolpost.co.uk/New-Bristol-Rovers-stadium-ready-come-University/story-29144403-detail/story.html More waffle, with a hint to other developers that there is planning permission for business use if they have a better offer. Lovey
  14. I'd rather they deleted your account. No time for wierdos who want to tell others what to think, presumably because they feel their point of view is somehow more valid.
  15. I'll mock him but then "Seems to be" is wrong. He IS doing a great job. My only concerns if I was a sag: 1) Will a bigger club take the manager next year 2) How much will we get for Taylor 3) What will our budget be for league one 4) Apart from the stadium, what are the plans for the youth, as while city are cat 2 anyone worthwhile can be poached untill parity is established. **edit** I missed 5) they 'gurt teds
  16. Dog ****** has done a phenomenal job. Back to back promotions nailed on, and the achievement can only be credited. Saw on Twitter that every player will be offered a new deal if they're promoted, not sure that's so wise.
  17. Wooaaah there. This is the opportunity to get your company name on "da famous quarterzz". Worth a Million pounds easy.
  18. Take this as you want, I'm hearing a distinct change of language lately. When Wally took over I was told "UWE will happen, met them today blah blah blah" but now I hear a more tentative "it will probably happen". UWE have got so fed up they've had informal meetings with an organisation associated with a rather large summer sport, who would be interested in UWEs original plan of 5k.
  19. Unlikely, as I know a significant amount of time was spent pouring over the accounts ect.
  20. Why's the fat lad with a scarf crying?
  21. Just saw we took 1300 in our promotion year, so maybe not so great after all.
  22. I'm told they took 700 today. Joking aside that's a tremendous effort. it also means 700 very miserable journeys home, delicious.
  23. Not just that, I can't understand the logic in assuming a new ground 10 mins drive from the old ground would make much difference in appealing to a whole new group of people.
