If you just watched that football game and think people are over reacting you couldn't be further from the truth if you tried. That was indescribable, they genuinely looked leagues apart from us and that's just being realistic, you seriously can't say it's not. Sheffield Wednesday also missed three sitters, we had one shot in the box all game.
I think you're overreacting, massively so in fact.

Sheff Weds have been great today, especially Hunt, McGugan and particularly Wallace. That big striker Nihiu (sp?) was problematic too.
Yep. I thought Matias was excellent in the first half too.
You'd have to expect them to be up there at the end of the season.

Everyone has a bad day at the office now and again... after 2 months off, it'll take time to get back into the swing of things. Priorities before transfer window closes are cover for Bryan and a GK to make Frankie earn his money...
Central midfielder for me.

That's a penalty. This ref is an arse.

I feel ****ing suicidal reading this drivel.
It's absolutely pathetic isn't it? We're deservedly losing but I sense that some are making up for the moaning they didn't have the opportunity to do so much last season.

Hahaha
Welcome to the Championship
Bore off.

It seems the doom and gloom merchants have been waiting for this moment.
Shall we at least wait 5 games before pressing the panic button?
Yep. Tediously predictable.
We've been second best but it's hardly season defining.

Freeman was fouled there and the cock in charge missed it, leading to Pack getting booked.

Nonsense refereeing, not for the first time.
-
45 minutes and already half the side have been whinged at.
Joke.

I think it's been alright. They've been the better side but not by the distance some are claiming.

I see Alfonso has gone on loan to Sussex for the One Day Cup.
-
What's happened to the Great Alfonso? Once one of the finest T20 bowlers around, now whenever I see him on TV or look at his figures he's getting smashed all over the park.
Purely down to getting old, or something more than that?

Think Glos have 10-15 too many.

Fair play that's a cracking win.

The Red Rose march to the Div 2 title continues. We'll probably go straight back down again next year like, but nice to see all the same. If anything our batting lineup this year is stronger than in Div 1 last year, getting Petersen was a good bit of work.
We've got a quick bowler from Zimbabwe called Kyle Jarvis, arrived last year and struggled to even make the 2nds. This term he has 57 FC wickets by the middle of June. He can spray it a bit, and regularly goes at 4 an over, but is bloody rapid.

Ohh Lancy Lancy...
-
Presumably it would have taken a committee decision to change the batting order?
Yep, plus a lot of 'analyzing the data' and what-not.
-
We need to get into the mindset of players being able to float up and down the batting order depending on the situation. Too often with England they'll slot a player in somewhere in the order and he'll stay there, regardless of what score he comes in at.
Buttler came in at 5 for Lancs last night which was ideal for him in the context of the game, however if he'd come in maybe 3 overs later, he wouldn't have had the time to get set.
Incidentally, given the recent talk of a franchise T20 tournament, the Roses match last night was a pointer to what it'd be like. 2 teams based in big cities and fierce rivals, playing in a Test venue which was full with a cracking atmosphere, with a good sprinkling of current England players, some on the fringes and a couple of big name internationals.

Another poor refereeing decision.
