All the clowns here who thought 47 points would be enough to stay up. 51 needed this year how many next season????
Why "clowns"?

I'm sure he's got more class, but you'd forgive John Eustace for having a whopping sense of schadenfreude.

All quiet at Birmingham
The change in atmosphere when Blackburn took the lead was remarkable, especially considering Brum had just scored themselves.

Do we know he would have wanted a coaching deal?

Am I right in thinking he got a huge bonus the year we turned a profit due to including Kelly’s sale in the season previous, when actually if we used it toward the incoming season we’d have been in a much better re FFP?
Don't know about the bonus bit (wouldn't surprise me though), but the rest is definitely true.

Sky continually showing that smug **** in the stand is really testing my feelings of goodwill towards Ipswich.

Piers O'Conor leaving for Connacht in the summer.
No great surprise, he was excellent in the season we finished top but struggled to recapture that form since and has fallen out of favour in the last few months.

Birmingham have been circling the drain for years. It's about time they went.

Not convinced by that Ipswich keeper at all, they'll need better if they do go up.

Feel sorry for the lad tbh. Not good enough to play, but for some reason sits on the bench every week. Doesn’t even feature for u21s either.
The lads moved countries for this too.
I don’t know or care for blame necessarily just seems a little unfair on him.
Yep. If he's not considered up to standard then so be it, these things happen. And he can't control how the club presented his signing.

Credit where it’s due, decent end of season run and some good performances in there to match. A real shame we lost those Cardiff, QPR and Sheff Wed games now.
I don’t think momentum into a new season is really a thing though, it’s a new start in August and that’s where we can really judge protest.
Our last two promotion seasons were both on the back of strong finishes to otherwise poor previous ones.

Not quite sure how we did that.

Are you this joyfully optimistic about everything in life, or just Bristol City?

My main takeaway from Allardyce was how out of touch he seemed to be with the game at the moment, e.g Nige was asked about Sheffield Wednesday and was talking about "Danny" (Rohl) and how he was doing well in his first job, to which Sam piped up with "who's Danny?".

It’s called choosing your moment isn’t? LM is smart to know when he can use these comments or not. Nige used to also.
On a good run, it’s exactly the time to push home what you want.
Like you I think it’s the 9 and 10 in, and everything else is a reaction to outgoings. But the size of squad won’t be massive.
Yep. Conversely, if you say those things during a bad run it starts to look like excuses.

Announced yesterday that from the 25/26 season, the Welsh premier League will play all games on Friday nights.
Dunno why and have they considered the financial implications? If Barry Town are away to say, Rhyl, that's a five hour journey. Clubs will have to decide whether to travel through the early hours of the Saturday, or have a night in a hotel.
Be interesting to see how that works. They do already play a lot of games on Fridays but it's usually where there isn't much travel involved. The league was very heavily concentrated around the north of the country a few years back but with the demise of the likes of Rhyl, Bangor and Prestatyn it's now more evenly spread.

Yep, they came down at the same time as us and PNE went up.
