The game where "Flint said no" got its first airing.

As much as Rotherham aren't likely to bring many down, they still have to be offered a certain amount (not sure what it is exactly). So any decision on something like this wouldn't be until a few days before when we know how many of them are likely to come.

Don’t take it as gospel but I think he was caught on video taking the mick out of disabled people? Pretty sure his brother is a prem ref as well
Yep that's right. Without that he'd probably be doing Champions League and internationals now.

First off - I thought the ref (Bobby Madley) was excellent throughout.
Secondly, I didn’t realise he was a last minute appointment. And the reason being he’s a Huddersfield fan and was originally supposed to ref Birmingham vs Cardiff and Blues protested in view of potential bias so they moved Sam Allison there!
I did wonder why the Sky red button commentator said that it was Sam Allison reffing and gave out his stats for the season, because you could then immediately hear Downsy on the PA saying it was Bobby Madley.

Totally agree and whilst it’s nice to put 5 past the opposition I would reference the last 3 games as a better marker of where we are under LM.
Huddersfield & Norwich will provide a stern test as they are desperate for points for different reasons. If we can dispatch them then perhaps LM has cracked the formula
Maybe next season could bring something better?
Blackburn were meant to be desperate for the points, though you wouldn't have known it.

At the end of the season we'll be able to work out when we actually achieved safety- i.e. when we reached one point more than the team in 22nd ends up with.

Was it really that good? Blackburn gifted us every goal and our final ball was poor as usual along with second half majority. Thrilled to win 5.0 but I’m still not convinced by Manning. Give him the summer to see what he can do.
No you're not.

Superb City, God-awful Blackburn.
Imagine coming all the way down to witness your relegation-haunted team get horsewhipped like that.
Their final four fixtures - Leeds, Sheff W., Coventry, Leicester. They’re in deep scat.
It was the sort of display that ends with the visiting fans being reimbursed.

I assume there must be some financial penalty if we don't name him in the matchday squad, because there's more chance of Bajic coming on as an outfield player than him kicking another ball for us.

Blackburn were hopeless but we've made similarly awful sides look much better than they are in the past.

Proper player him. That ball to Wells for the 5th was sensational.

I'm not sure we've ever had a manager who was so widely considered to be dull and robotic and yet had his every word analysed to death as much.

Looking at the possibility of a short trip to Edinburgh and possibly Dublin at a later date.As someone that hasn't flown in a very long time, any tips on getting the best deal in flights please. Also not a holder of a valid passport but I have eventually got around to getting one of those fancy new drivers licence with a very attractive photo of myself on.I think the drivers licence will be fine for Scotland but not sure about Ireland. Thanks for any advice.
Drivers licence always used to be fine for Ireland, I presume it still is.

Surely he can’t be any worse than our front 3 who are simply not up to it.

"Performance is more important than the result"
Don't necessarily disagree, but let's see if that holds when we get the former but not the latter. Because it hasn't done previously on here.

If he plays another minute for us I'll be very surprised.

Well we were always going to lose another centre-half before finally getting one back, weren’t we?! Dickie has a ‘minor calf injury’ - I hate that they said minor. In City parlance that’s 11 months out. McCrorie is also absent worryingly, meaning our defence is suddenly very light throughout.
Neither are replaced in the match-day squad as we name 7 subs rather than 9.
I will say this - they’re right to risk neither of them given our current position. COYR ️
Injured:
Dickie
Atkinson
Naismith
McCrorie
TGH
Benarous
Bell
McCrorie isn't out, was missed off the subs on the graphic for some reason.

"minor calf injury" for Dickie.

Burley was shown in the crowd when we played Ipswich the other week and the Sky commentator mentioned he was Hogg's father in law, which was the first I'd heard of it.

Given the incompetent way most of the club’s media is run my tendency is to assume the lack of info is down to insufficient staff or organisation, however I do wonder whether with U18s there are potential safeguarding implications of providing even a name and photo until their 18th birthdays.
It's possible. Don't know if you've noticed but the club sometimes tweet pictures of the younger lads signing academy forms, and the caption is always something like "another young prospect signs up", but they never name the player (though often there'll be a reply or retweet from someone who knows them and will give a name).
When to do it

Game 9 was Norwich away (lost 3-2), Game 19 was Sheff Utd at home (lost 1-0). If you extend it to the West Brom game (24) when the calls to sack Nige came to a head, then it was 13 points from 16 games.
25 (Millwall away) to 33 (Hull at home) saw 17 points in 9, then 34 (Cardiff away) to 43 (Sheff Utd away) saw 9 points in 10.
