Tinnion =yes man
manning = comes across as weak
we have no leaders on the pitch and most of our players are league one standard at best
what a state this club is in
In that case the ones who aren't must be top-end PL standard for us to be a midtable Championship club.

To help @phantom out bless him!
The bloke is brilliant (Phantom) but we need to limit the Manning threads.
So you've started another one?

You are right, we do hear it every year. Though I do feel as though we’ve gone past a tipping point recently in some regards.
TV deal makes it a non- starter for me. Which is fine, and I don’t blame clubs for signing it off as it’s worth a lot of money to them.
Yeah, the TV deal is an added potential tipping point and I'm not sure how widespread the awareness is about it, which the club haven't yet done anything to aid either (though I suspect they're not alone amongst the rest of the EFL clubs in that). As Silvio says above, next season may well prove to be a trial run for many, as people buy and then find games being shifted all over.
-
The fact is that, as much as people moan, the club know that most will suck it up and renew, including some who are currently very vocal about not doing so. Same as it is every year. Though I do wonder how many new ones they'll sell.
Tinnion being on the promo is just weird though, it would be even if he was currently unversally popular. And it'd be even weirder if Manning wasn't.

Just looking at the table. Unusual season in that none of the teams have loads of games in hand. Only Preston and Southampton to play one game?
Yes, that was the game that was postponed last week.
Though Leicester and Coventry are both in the cup this weekend so they'll have one in hand then.

Plus Rovers and Derby both play again tonight, so them playing Sunday would have meant causing further disruption by shifting those games to tomorrow.

Because sometimes it's unavoidable, the EFL fixture list doesn't revolve around us.

Just finished listening to it on catch-up. I deliberately haven't read any of the comments on here before doing so and tried to approach it with as open a mind as I could.
The presenter did a better job than I was expecting. Not in Twentyman's league and there were some obvious follow-up questions that weren't asked, but it certainly wasn't the soft touch interview that I think we all feared and he didn't give him an easy ride.
Tinnion did not come across well, to put it mildly. I don't doubt that he cares deeply about the club and is trying to do his best, but he was defensive, occasionally bordering on snappy and bore all the hallmarks of somebody who deep down knows that he's been promoted beyond his capabilities despite the protestations to the contrary, and I think he is feeling the pressure.
That doesn't mean I disagree with everything he said and there were some useful bits in there, but the general tone was one of contradictions and goalpost shifting.
It sounds like Manning is going nowhere soon, but would anybody be that shocked if they had another change of heart? Of course that call may come from above Brian, depending on how much interest SL is showing.

The result was always more important than the performance today, which is just as well because until the goal it was as bad as anything we've produced in the last few months.

I think we know how this one ends. Just a question of when they get it.

All part of the performative outrage competition that's been running on here for the last few weeks.

Criticise tinnions post playing career all you like but in regards to his playing career comments like 'dining off 1 goal in 1994' either never saw his playing career for us or are talking rubbish.
Yep, and this is where it moves beyond genuine, legitimate criticism of his current work to just inventing stuff to slag him off about. That's not right.

Well I think we should repeat this until someone owns up and does something about it!
Someone should pay for the current shit show with their job.
You can lie there and have your tummy tickled but I certainly won't.
Yeah, because my post certainly gives that impression....
Fine, carry on shouting into the void. But they aren't going to pay any attention to it.

There'll be people on here still wanting Warnock to manage us after he's long dead.

Lads, I think we all know that it "shouldn't be like this", no need to keep repeating it ad nauseum.
Do our job and it won't matter what everyone else does.
