Believe me, being a Chester fan in the last 25 years or so certainly couldn't be described as dull, although not always for the right reasons.

They usually have Monday off if we don't have a midweek game, this week it was Tuesday with us having played last Sunday.

Remember seeing us win at Stoke a few years ago when Gary Rowett was on his last legs there and by the end the most prominent chant from their crowd was "Gary Rowett, your football is shit". He was sacked a couple of days afterwards. Succinct and to the point. It scans for Liam Manning too.

The general consensus was that he was out of his depth when he came on against QPR and clearly Manning agrees. It's all very well mentioning Yeboah and Nelson but nothing we've seen from Manning suggests that they'd have got any more minutes than Mebude has.

And to think we complain about Robins TV.

In that case the ones who aren't must be top-end PL standard for us to be a midtable Championship club.

Yeah, the TV deal is an added potential tipping point and I'm not sure how widespread the awareness is about it, which the club haven't yet done anything to aid either (though I suspect they're not alone amongst the rest of the EFL clubs in that). As Silvio says above, next season may well prove to be a trial run for many, as people buy and then find games being shifted all over.

The fact is that, as much as people moan, the club know that most will suck it up and renew, including some who are currently very vocal about not doing so. Same as it is every year. Though I do wonder how many new ones they'll sell. Tinnion being on the promo is just weird though, it would be even if he was currently unversally popular. And it'd be even weirder if Manning wasn't.

Yes, that was the game that was postponed last week. Though Leicester and Coventry are both in the cup this weekend so they'll have one in hand then.
