  1. I don’t think we should underestimate what getting 12 more points from here would actually mean. 59 points is exactly the number we managed last season, I mean they couldn’t possibly be that small minded, could they? As has already been said, it just seems like muddled thinking. What if we won 3 drew 2 & lost 3, but the defeats were all performances like the loss at Southampton? What if the 3 wins were all like Swansea? I was actually far more encouraged by the Ipswich loss than I was by the Swansea win. Either they think he’s the bloke to take us forward or not, obviously if we lost the lot (we won’t) that is different, but this alleged ultimatum strikes me as the antithesis of leadership.
  2. Agree, 2 excellent pundits. Far higher calibre of conversation, shame the presenter was so so, felt Owers & Piercy sort of ignored him at times & had their own (excellent) chat. Love Owers, he’s basically an adopted Bristolian.
  3. This. Plus their owner being a massive crook, who has to be about as “fit & proper” a person to own an English club as Roman Abramovich was.
  4. Plymouth & Sunderland are both in abysmal form, a team doing well they would relish these fixtures..
  5. Come back on here when he does & discuss if you’re so confident, mate. As likely as us being relegated.
  6. Just a few observations; Firstly fair play @headhunter for your commitment to this podcast even on your birthday weekend. Secondly did Ian seriously say about Mebude that he was someone we could bring in “on a free”? Westerlo paid a million for him, they might have realised their error already but no way are they suddenly giving him away. Also he was disingenuous on the injury issue, the Cardiff game aside it was significantly better over time during Pearson’s spell, especially once you exclude the 2 players understandably missing through ACL injuries. He was spot on re Naismith though. There are a significant number of squad players with very decent availability records, our greater problem here is running 2 senior players light.
  7. Also, the counter factual is to release ST promotional material without the current head coach featuring, no club does that.
  8. Did an amazing job at Aberdeen.. Would be futile to bring in a 75 year old who buggers off every few months.
  9. Reckon Plymouth is the more likely barometer. Most expect Leicester to beat us, the way we set up we look to stay in games rather than win them, so a 2-0 defeat say, is nothing. Argyle haven’t won at home since January & have failed to score in their last 4 home games, a defeat there will have far greater impact.
  10. That’s Randy Crawford (what a voice), I think we’re getting our Randys mixed up, which is definitely a Carry On sketch..
  11. Reckon he gets the next two, whether we like that or not. However to quote Randy Newman “I’ve been wrong before”..
  12. Peak Fans Forum activity to rush to tell the club that you’ve renewed. Like they really care, apart from having your money.
  13. Fair play to him for stepping up & making a side that made the playoffs two years running then finish 7th, eh? Real progress. Ward, GJ & Cotterill all got us automatically promoted in their first full season.
  14. Really quite emotional to hear AD as he approaches his 90th year. Tinnion however can **** right off.
  15. We saw on SotC he’s capable of Trump level lying.
  16. You actually think he lives there? Gary O’Neil lives in Wolverhampton? Michael Carrick In Middlesbrough?
  17. Nope you haven’t dreamt it, he was. That was in 2011 by the way, but some fantasists on here think the fact he applied 13 years ago means he would be interested now. Don’t get me started on the “Robins loves the area” horseshit, he was on loan here for 5 weeks in 2003!
  18. Haven’t there been numerous posts pointing out Gary Probert did the legwork & was then poached by Mark Ashton for Ipswich? I’m not saying he didn’t play a part, but do get the impression he massively overstated it. He needs to go, I’d get rid of him before Manning personally.
  19. Trust me, it is. The cup games were massive outliers. The other decent performances you can count on the fingers of one hand. I haven’t been as bored since Pulis, even O’Driscoll’s team had JET to watch, this is awful fare.
  20. Just looked at the squad, one plays for Northampton Town & bizarrely 3 of them play in Austria. Not exactly a roll call of big clubs..
  21. Probably due to the fact Manning took over when we were 11 points above the drop zone. As others have said if every team started level I’d have no confidence in him at all.
  22. Sykes & Knight are on international duty anyway so they won’t get any time off at all.
  23. Gilmartin, Wollacott & various youngsters who had briefly featured like Opi Edwards, Louis Britton as well.
