  1. 51 in all competitions, 46 in the league, 3 FA Cup & 2 League Cup. For anyone who wonders how I know all this, it is on soccerbase.com
  2. It would but also worth pointing out those 11 have all come in his last 45 games. A “Weimann” season would certainly help but his rate is much nearer to a goal every 4 games now.
  3. Cheers, think Andi was a 10 a season bloke up until THAT year, so might have just about got there if he hadn’t had the injury ruined one under Holden. Sykes has definitely accelerated his scoring rate since playing further forward, none in his first 20 odd games for us, so I live in hope.
  4. Total embarrassment. He should study the form of the current top six instead of these sort of wet dreams. What exactly the “something” that’s happening is, is definitely up for interpretation. It was a good win but they aren’t seriously in contention.
  5. @ExiledAjax Spot on but your figures are in all competitions, for league goals Wells is on 31, so no way can I see him scoring 19 more for us. Sykes would need 5 or 6 more seasons at his current rate (not completely impossible) & as you say Conway will probably move on before he does, Bell is actually more likely because I think we are his ceiling, but he has only scored 7 of his goals in the league so still a very long way to go. The Diedhiou, Wayne Allison type is by far the most likely but as Andi has proved nowhere near as easy as some might think.
  6. We won two in a row in August. There’s no point in revisiting what Pearson would or would not be doing now, he’s gone but this isn’t true.
  7. Wayne Allison 48, Famara Diedhiou 46 & Nicky Maynard 45 the 3 nearest.
  8. Bloke’s from North Korea. He’s the clown who said they had the strongest subs bench in the division.
  9. I have absolutely no idea why he’s still in the game. Bit like someone who had a couple of massive hits in the 80s now playing gigs in a South Bristol pub. He’s probably in his late 60s now & obvious what he once had doesn’t work anymore. Still our most successful manager since Alan Dicks though & his achievements at Yeovil are phenomenal.
  10. Absolute manual manipulator club. Fans think they are Tottenham or something, their support has always been poor & about half the size of Villa if they’re lucky. Second City equivalent of the gas.
  11. I’d argue his post City career actually contained his finest managerial moment. Not many people on the planet could get a club the size & as geographically isolated as Yeovil in to the Championship. Look at them subsequently, a truly incredible achievement.
  12. You can reel off loads of top players & yet no one all the way back to Tom Ritchie has scored 50 league goals in the second tier or above for us until today. He’s been a superb professional, complete team man & absolute bargain at £2m. You don’t have to spend long thinking about some shite we have paid more for who haven’t given us a fraction back of what he has. Big fan, delighted for him.
  13. Who as we both heard said no, Manning (obviously) & a bloke from Bundesliga 2, apparently. No “proof” of course, but also pretty likely to be true.
  14. Or far more likely back to back wins..
  15. That was Blackpool under Pulis, not long before we sold him, he played LB, coming on for Mickey Bell. Our right back that day was one Gerald Lavin..
  16. Brennan & Barnard actually only overlapped for 8 games & Louis Carey played RB in nearly all of those with Barnard (what a player he was, BTW) playing left midfield in front of Brennan. Inexplicably John Ward didn’t rate Brennan, so he didn’t feature much at all the following season, Benny Lennartsson said when he arrived he had been told by Ward that he could leave. He did have about 15 games at RB under Benny before Bell broke his ankle at WBA, but as we both know the majority of his career at Forest (who paid us over a million for him) & Norwich was as a left back.
  17. How have they “propelled the club forward” under Les Kew & Jimmy Lumsden (with Jordan’s team) we finished 9th. They have only bettered this twice. The ground is far better, the training ground is far better, but nothing else is. They employ their mates & sycophants & have learned nothing about the football industry the whole time they have been in it. I’m not going to mention Pearson but who in their right mind replaces Phil Alexander with a barely literate ex footballer? You asked what we want, I want them to sell up.
  18. It mentions both things. It says “an average of six Academy graduates in the match day squad” & then also references the percentage of minutes played by them as 33.7%, the highest in the top two divisions in England.
  19. Part of it says “in the match day squad” that was what I was referring to.
  20. Gerstmann Syndrome apparently, never heard of it before.
  21. Yes & I reckon he’ll definitely act on it too. Just had it, a real shame he doesn’t take the opportunity to thank Pearson & his staff for their service but not surprised. In his mind he obviously sees this as improving the absolutely woeful communication that has come out of the club in recent times but it just reads like a lot of self justification to me.
  22. Plus as my other post says, our figures in this regard are hugely inflated by a small squad & injuries. Numerous Academy players have been on the bench (Nelson 9 times) with zero minutes, aside from Yeboah, loads of the others, Knight-Lebel, Backwell, Araoye, Wiles-Richards have been there simply because there was no one else. James was given a debut at Cardiff because we had about 10 players out, Manning didn’t even put him on a bench that wasn’t full very soon afterwards. Meaningless stat.
  23. I haven’t had the email but part of this is simply cause & effect, isn’t it? We have only fielded a full subs bench once since Manning arrived & didn’t do so at least once under Pearson. This season Raekwon Nelson has been on the bench 9 times with zero actual minutes on the pitch. Knight-Lebel 16 times, he’s come on as sub once. Araoye & Wiles-Richards 3 times, zero minutes. Tommy Backwell twice, same. Ephraim Yeboah 22 times for 195 minutes on the pitch. I’m not saying the Academy isn’t excellent but our figures look higher than they should because the squad is so small & we have a lot of injuries.
  24. Nope, not had it. Doesn’t sound like I’m missing much.
  25. Plus you forget Mickey Bell & Darren Barnard, we have had a series of quality right backs. Shame our left backs (apart from Bradley Orr) have been so poor.
