Every time we lose someone posts on here that he’s back to his old form but he’s essential to us, his pace bails out his colleagues time after time. Good player.
  2. Excellent win. For those who slag off Max, Hull had 2 keepers tonight & both were shite. Terrible goalkeeping for Mehmeti’s goal & the sub keeper looked absolutely shocking.
  3. We only signed one of those in the summer, smart arse. Our summer signings were Dickie, TGH, McCrorie & Knight. I thought we were ok up until we scored but Hull by far the better side since. Penalty was a shocker of a decision ref looked desperate to even it up.
  4. You should be very proud. People like your daughter deserve so much more in terms of money for such important work & are inspirational.
  5. Plus that run by Aaron Brown, along with an equally memorable one at West Brom (might have been on his debut?) when he hit the post, his finest moment in a City shirt.
  6. It gets better… City Cat to running Project Whitebeam. Bit like some bloke dressing up as Ronald MacDonald then becoming their Head of Sustainability. We are a total circus.
  7. Apparently Bristol Live is exclusively revealing today they aren’t going back for Clarke-Harris in January. I’m absolutely amazed, anyone would think a transfer that mysteriously fell through at the very last minute at Rovers’ end was all some sort of pretence that (by their standards) they were going to spend big, whilst never actually doing so..
  8. Let’s hope it’s even longer (or never again) until another. Nothing to gain, everything to lose. If we’re playing them it is either a cup draw or we’ve hit hard times. **** them.
  9. Perhaps if I didn’t have a very stressful job, & absolutely masses going on in my personal life then I would. You know nothing about me.
  10. Started by Galley is Our King, not by NttDS. Baffled he could post who was there & having heard what was said then give absolutely no context.
  11. You absolutely can & I have done so a fair few times in my career (& I work in the public sector!). The debate for me is whether we needed to, his coaches are fit & well & extremely competent. He attended games, picked the side & there were no signs that he is incapable of the parts of the role that fall solely to him, the players continued to give everything. It has gone now but whatever Manning achieves has scarred my relationship with the club.
  12. It is great but remarkable that the OP can post this but give absolutely no context on the Lansdown Q&A as they were clearly there. Astonishing.
  13. Firstly thanks to @Galley is our king for sharing this, fair play. Secondly well done to those Senior Reds who attempted to hold our chairman to account. For those asking for a transcript or why this or that question wasn’t asked, you need to have gone to the Hen & Chicken one or if old enough become a Senior Red, getting on a forum & asking others to do something you won’t is equally as pathetic as our chairman. Moving on to him, has anyone at the club ever been more over promoted or fallen upwards with so little merit (Tinnion runs him close). What a total shambles we are off the pitch, but of course we “should be grateful for the Lansdowns” & “be careful what you wish for”. I’m a supporter of over 50 years & remember shit times but no one running the club came close to the nepotism & cozy mates club of these jokers. When they sacked Pearson (& as an aside Google Oscar Washington Tabarez for Uruguay as someone who continued in post whilst incapacitated) that was the final straw for me, incompetent mediocrities who should sell up. The latter also remarkably dense.
  14. In competitive football certainly Alan Ball & Martin Peters, Osvaldo Ardiles & Ricardo Villa.
  15. It wasn’t in extra time.
  16. First thing he needs to do is retire. Pretty obvious last season against us the bloke can’t run anymore, way past playing.
  17. It’s shorthand for those who can’t look at the bigger picture, a nonsense. We simply didn’t recruit well in January & also suffered from having played a lot of games already. Wolves was absolutely a minor issue that season.
  18. Rennie is a completely different case isn’t he? His skills are transferable outside of football (indeed sport) so he could pick up work now if he wanted. My understanding is Curtis’ family home is in the North East (& he also has a property in Italy), he has a sound reputation as an assistant so doubt he would be waiting too long for offers. Nige as you say is concentrating on returning to health, I don’t think any of us know exactly how he is right now but if I was a betting man on balance I do think he’ll manage again.
  19. You would have to be 50+ to see a game that tops it, though to be fair I’d get the argument that the Palace playoff win did. In hindsight the high watermark of LJ’s time by some distance, as we faded away that season after being really well placed (very familiar). A great night, even for those of us who saw the 4 top flight years.
  20. We did. Stoke have had parachute payments, a succession of managers who have done well elsewhere yet totally failed with them & a huge wage bill. They have still consistently ****** up, I know some on here are desperate to say every other club will overtake us, in Ipswich’s case that looks highly likely, there are no grounds (beyond the Pulis era, fast disappearing into the distance) to suggest that Stoke will.
  21. I know this has become a stock thing to say (I’ve seen others claim that Plymouth & Wrexham will get there before us) but in the last 5 seasons we have finished above Stoke more often than they have finished above us & they have never even been in the top half, despite having parachute payments for 3 years of that, so I genuinely have no idea what you are basing this on.
  22. In terms of goals scored but not by percentage. Suffered joint second most defeats in games against us.
