Meerholz has got that bit of something hasn’t he?
I like both TA and JCS too.
Hewlett is gonna be an interesting one, not just because of his dad, but because the way we play. He’s a bit “missed out”, but he does all the basics really, really well.
Duncan is the other. But the route to first team football is a tough one for a young keeper.
Billy Phillips is an interesting one.

Reports that both James and Gallagher could be sold to clear their FFP deficit.
Whether that also is separate to other such as Broja etc.
Why would anyone risk buying James. Very good player but always injured.

Has Bird tweeted anything about his injury?
Yes, he's pulled the hamstring in his beak.

We had a discussion in the pub pre match. Would you rather have Max or Bentley. I was the only one , out of 8 , who said Max. Felt like a dog with 2 dicks after
Decent keeper is Max.
Bentley is what as known as 'a shot stopper', Max is a much more complete keeper than that.

I think Sykes played anywhere forward of RWB is hugely underrated.
Agreed. I was desperate for Manning to get him on the pitch. When Sykes is fit, for me he always plays on the right and not Mehmeti.
Mehmeti, what a frustrating player!

Ross a bit unsung, looked sharper than of late when on, bar a shot when should have crossed.
I'd be giving it both barrels to McRorie if I was available for the cross/pass when he wacks it into the side netting. That's the 3rd? time in the last few games, very poor and unprofessional.

Twine was his ace in the pack.
V good performance by the whole team today, but I'm not seeing Twine as an ace in the pack at the moment.
I'm a big fan of Zak (not as a fashion icon) but he had a bit of an off day I think.
When is it we're getting the upgrade on Max by the way?.......................

The Board , and it is a stretch calling it that , seems to be made up of Gavin Marshall , Director and Jon Lansdown Chairman.
Google says "A typical board of directors has nine members, but some have three, and others have 31" .
So we are at the streamlined end of the spectrum to say the least. As for clout , if Jon wants to do something and Marshall is opposed ? He'll just tell Dad and he'll do whatever he wants . If Marshall has an idea , then Jon tells Dad and he'll do whatever he wants.
So these are the different voices?

Steve lansdown does not attend board meetings, officially he is not even on the board
Different voices are being heard
Who does that leave to attend?

That's what's causing the issues, not enough variety of voices in the throne room
Yes, I agree that it's some of the problem, but I don't see SL being amenable to having those other voices in the boardroom if he deems them to hold too much of a different opinion.

what a wonderful season of missed opportunity.
They worked so hard to get promoted last season (always hard when it’s only one promotion spot available), and then playing WSL games at AG too.
We can see from the men’s side, SL is bored of it.
Just sell it / give it away and enjoy Le Mare Golf in Guernsey. Put yourself and us fans out of our / your misery.
Spot on Dave. Surely somethings got to give soon.

HPC for the women's team again next season then. Without the correct investment yo-yo ing is going to be best it gets for them, if they're lucky.

Myth busters: the first story about the flag is not supported by any historical evidence but seems to have arisen in the 20th Century.
Just call me Mr Snopes.Com
Whatever.
But the truly important item is the guide to safe sex with a flag, surely.

Indeed. It’s bizarrely binary - watch City or go shopping. Some peoples houses must be like Costco after the summer.
"Shopping with the missus', surely some kind of euphemism?

Ok ok, but get this - have you tried all those same songs, but randomly shouting "you ****" at the end?
Its the only bit I shout, and not necessarily at the end!

Surely the main reason there's a shit atmosphere is that the songs are boring and shite. Is there a fire drill, is this a library, your support is fkin' shit., you're not singing anymore, 1-0 and you fkd it up, etc etc.

Always good to see a list of songs/chants we'll never hear on the terraces!
