Here in Stratford on Avon the thunderstorm has abated and the sun is out ... exactly following the OTIB mood.

You did rightly feature brewing quite heavily! Just thought I'd highlight how huge Bass was historically. And I've always loved the Tennyson quote, so needed a reason to put it in.

An excellent post as always but I think it underplayed the brewery side a bit, especially Bass.
In the nineteenth century, Bass was probably the best known English name around the world. It's red triangle trademark was the first in Britain and known worldwide. Visiting the Great Exhibition at the Crystal Palace in 1851, the poet Alfred Lord Tennyson's recorded reaction was "can one get a decent bottle of Bass here?"

We're 1-0 down in case anybody had missed that.

One wonders why both centre backs were out on the edge of the box near our right corner trying to stop a cross which was headed in by 5'8 Bobby Russell unmarked at the back post?
Probably thought as a right winger he was being marked by our left back

Who has spotted tonight's deliberate error in the programme then?

It's all so frustrating. A dominating second half display against Forest last week followed by this.
A dominating second half display where we couldn't score.

Northampton, a new town? The Northampton that got its charter from Richard I in 1189??
OK I've checked and you're right. It was designated a New Town in the 1960s. How bizarre is that though.

Dull. Like watching Man U!
Preston worse than us, but they aren't trying to be positive. We are, but seem to have lost our way.

Sky pubs in Taunton? Does the Racehorse on East Reach show the games?

For me...
Positives were:-
Bobby Reid....great energy and vision. Must be given more game time.
Baker.....great defender.
Kodjia....A great finisher.
Negatives.....
Did not play second half. Bryan and Little did not give us any creativity. We seemed to stop moving when we got to the final third, turn back and loose momentum rather than go for the jugular. We need to let the pass go sometimes and be brave.
Bobby Reid created the goal - that was great. In the second half he was a liability, frequently giving the ball away in dangerous areas.

We have been very much on top. But that has been said many times in the first 30 mins this season.
It's ibvious we are pressing them to stifle their passing game. They've been poor so far.

Cotts also said Gayle deal is dead.

Pretty ridiculous reactions on here. First half fairly even but we had little penetration (58% possession).
Kodjia looks a bit lost as yet, but that will come. We got overrun in the second half and Wednesday produced some good stuff, but we certainly weren't outclassed throughout. The second goal was dreadful defending when we were overcommitted, and like last season we were a bit gung-ho; it's more risky against stronger teams.
The next game could be completely different.

BBC stats show we had 58% possession and I thought we shaded the half, but we're wobbly at the back.

Greetings from M42 services. I wouldn't normally go, but need to be in York this weekend anyway, so it makes sense as a package. Here's hoping.
