Common sense being spoken over there........
" Truth is we may think we are rivals but, football-wise, infrastructure and all other departments APART from fan loyalty, they are so far ahead of us that they are right in having a laugh at our expense and especially when you read we are coming for you .
They have an owner who puts his money where his mouth is, kept his nerve in the manager and is now reaping the benefits.
From the report today, they got lucky but we had two very lucky promotions so we know a bit about that.
The only rivalry is from the past in reality. I may not like it but that’s the absolute truth.
Still a lot of football to be played though but I feel we are on the cusp of the 70’s when they got to the old 1st division and we were 3rd tier.
Faithful & true, we shall see "- 2

Football League club Gillingham is in north Kent, it’s one of the Medway towns. A difficult place to get to as I discovered when I saw us play there.
There is another Gillingham which is in the South of England (possibly Dorset). I remember it as I saw my first Bristol City match when we played them in the FA Cup 1st round on 5 November 1960 (I think). We won 11-0 (a club record) with John Atyeo scoring 5 goals
Yep, the other Gillingham is in Dorset.

Not seeing a lot of Rovers colours out and about, but I am seeing more Man City colours! Funny, that. Kid walking along the pavement by Blaise car park with his MCFC scarf yesterday. Can't for the life of me think why.......
He may have been heading for the children's play area.

I thought the law required a responsible adult to accompany such cretins on a day trip.

To be fair to the gash, had 1,300 at Blackburn today. Decent following
Looking at their home attendance figures, I'm guessing most of them have been saving up since August for this one.

I think all those players moved on to bigger clubs again after being sold so if any of them had a sell-on clause, that combined figure of £6.4m would have been somewhat higher.

And more recently Matty Taylor. Wasn't he apparently valued at several million?? How did that work out for them?
Hayles, Stewart, Ellington and Martyn left over a period of time for a combined total of £5.4m.....which back then was a huge amount of money.
The big question is......where did a lot of that money disappear to?

What did they do with the ikea monies and how much did they get? Was it enough at the time for a new stadium? what about the Nigel Martin monies? That was huge at the time? Run by crooks as always it seems
Don't forget, Hayles, Stewart and Ellington. They all left for big money back in the day.

Random thought to share- For me just a lick of paint here and there would at least help to make the place more asthetically appealing! It’s just an old ugly rusty and concrete mess.
If the club put a message out there for fans to buy/donate a certain colour and type of paint I.e blue and white - and come along in your own time to help spruce the place up, I’m sure people would! At least we could see some form or improvement going on then.! Why wait for the chiefs when the Indians can do something! Be nice to have a few banners I.e Irene lyrics and come on you blues etc and large motivating club posters around too! We can do lots of things that do not cost much money but as per usual we just do nothing! We should at least care for what we do actually have! No point pining for a mansion when you can’t even decorate and maintain your 1 bed flat!- 5

Apparently he’s never actually murdered anyone or raped any of his children.
It was just slightly less embarrassing than his real alibi of having been watching Rovers on the nights in question.
Deflection tactics. Worked a treat.......until the family released the flag

I’m pretty sure he’d have kept it quiet. You don’t need horrible little secrets that are as bad as that, getting out..!
I remember him being arrested and his solicitor taking out a court injunction to stop reporters naming him as a Gashead.
