  1. He wasn't given a lot of time to talk but came across very well. I haven't listened to SL's interview but I get the impression from what Stuart just said that SL had been over-tetchy and needs to accept that when a football club is in decline, its fans are going to let off steam on the Internet. Kind of dodged the question about whether SC will turn things around by saying that fans should get behind him.
  2. Probably. Either SOD said/did something that tipped the Board over the edge or his potential replacement made a move.
  3. No way they'd let that nutter near BCFC.
  4. No way Steve Lansdown would sell our star player while we're in a relegation fight.
  5. Not wishing to cast aspersions, but the police seem interested in speaking to a rather attractive young man (so I believe) who was naked to the waist, apparently nowhere near any trouble, and to a young lady who seems to be well endowed and was bouncing up and down a lot, if you see what I mean. Now the quesiton is, do the police want to speak to them about anything related to footbal violence?
  6. That journalist must have giggled a bit after writing "sleepy-eyed suspects".
  7. An interesting comment below this news item from a reader: Is this a joke! WANTED...A topless man and a woman dancing on a football pitch!!.. People are being mugged, stabbed, robbed, abused, attacked every 24hrs in Preston. Lancs Constabulary are becoming an embarrassment. Sack the officer in charge for gross misconduct re his pre match preparations. Concentrate on real crime ....
  8. Is Bristol Sport Limited the UK's No. 1 company in terms of the percentage of customers it has been responsible for incarcerating and generally criminalising?
  9. I say yes to this and to whatever Mister Chairman, Mr Owner and Mr Owner's son, etc. decide on. Only by pulling together in this way can we get away from this yes man mentality.
  10. I find this hard to believe. George Orwell's books attacked the sort or megalomania, tyranny and treachery that your hero, Oliver Cromwell indulged in after he became King, I'm sorry, "Lord Protector". Please re-read Animal Farm and discuss how the despicable "Napoleon" character has so much in common with the aforementioned pillock. For one thing, wondering what bizarre decision-making process concluded with the following: Question: If we could extend the club's debt and generate more cash, what one thing should we spend the money on? Answer: Let's rebuild that stand over there.
  11. He was a bit of a visionary wasn't he? But why should Ollie Croms take the credit for that? I don't get it. They may well be. Does that make OC less of a mass murderer / megalomaniac / pillock?
  12. Cynic, old chap, kindly take a look at this man's hairstyle (for want of a better word) think things over for a few moments and then decide whether he was a pillock or not.
  13. Do you indeed? And exactly what does the author "George Orwell" have in common with mass murderer / megalomaniac / pillock "Oliver Cromwell"? And quite how do you manage to be a "harbinger" of these disparate characters' spirits on a football forum? Please tell.
