  1. Must have all stopped at the Xmas Market 8n Exeter on the way down. So many competing attractions available for Rovers fans on game days. Stonewall penalty denied for Muff.
  2. Commentator specifically mentions the ‘thin’ Bristol Rovers following and camera pans to rows of empty seats. Then goes back to the script provided by The Gas that they are normally well-supported and noisy ...but didn’t mention they are also totally deluded.
  3. Fruit bowl must have gone pear-shaped. Next - the matchstick stadium with Vince.
  4. Was there too. Middle of the Tote End and then tip-toeing through the tulips. Not quite up there with the Coventry and Forest but ‘we do’ away night matches don’t we!
  5. ** and won’t pick football supporters up at Cumberland Basin either. *** next attempt will be from Long Ashton P&R itself Truly pathetic local Council(s) - almost as if they are actively trying to encourage the use of private cars.
  6. No worries. Their new season starts on Saturday. I’m sure it will packed full of new material for us.
  7. ‘Watertight’ Sags don’t understand the concept of factual information. They much prefer to be provided with lies. Lies for them are the truth. They thrive off them. It’s how they’ve been bought up and why they’re the 6th richest Club on Planet Zog.
  8. Yep. That went well. Probably doesn’t see the irony of his posting. Why Sags should be kept well away from keyboards unless adults are around.
  9. Think we need to start spreading the news about it being a Banksy work. Someone will then come along and cut the door and shutters out. That’ll mean the attendances will go back up to where they were before they stopped the free entry scam, so The Sags can once again claim to be the best supported Club in Europe. Wally will also save on demolition costs meaning a 50,000 seat UWE stadium bordered by a camel race track and a few beds of cactus is now a viable proposition.
  10. I heard the local residents themselves paid for it to obscure views of the ‘stadium’.
  11. That’ll do nicely. Decided we ain’t very good at basketball though. Maybe we could turn the Arena into a netball venue.
  12. That’ll be 12 weeks in jail then. Sure A&S Police wil be knocking on his door at 4:00am. I await front page mugshots, Club statements, point deduction threats. Naahhhh. It’s rugby, football supporters are easy pickings.
  13. ...and it actually shows a Sag running towards our stadium. I think we’ve finally broken them. Sub text ... give me a proper stadium, I just can’t face any more of those tents, garden sheds and plastic chairs. How do they do it!
  14. Well, given there’s a garden shed, close boarded wooden fence and a converted shipping container in the background, I’d have to agree with you. Pushing design boundaries for football stadia. Nothing Ragbag about that Club.
  15. Wow! This is our ‘reward’ for the thread reaching 900 pages. Looking forward to the 1000th Page prize. Wonder what that could be? Here’s hoping. Thought Darrell was a decent fit for The Gas personally. Rewinding a couple of years they had a decent manager, advanced plans for a quality stadium at UWE that made good commercial sense and a new training ground - must admit to being a bit nervous then. But.... can always trust The Slags to mess things up. Happy days.
  16. The photo of the plastic porch canopy above the entrance to one of their stands, celebrated on their website as a Summer ground improvement was a classic. The wrong type of sand applied to their cabbage patch another. They just can’t help themselves.
  17. Good job you’re not a betting man! The 28 day rule is not relevant to this issue. Indeed, having made a quick check of the General Development Order I’m struggling to find any clause that would exempt them from the need to apply for planning permission. Pity ?
  18. Now I’ve been out of the planning system for a few years. I know successive Governments have relaxed permitted development rights. I’d be surprised though if you could argue the erection of structures of the scale of a stand for an undefined period - i.e. until you could afford to replace them or move to another site - would fall within the definition of ‘permittted development’. At the very least, I would have advised to formally ask the question of the planning department and building regs as to whether approvals would be required. Would be staggered if they didn’t do that.
  19. Pretty sure they must have used the same ‘water tight’ consultants on this issue as Sainsbury’s. Absolute classic. We’ve been liasing with Bristol City Council via SAG with a planning committee MEMBER on it. Did it not occur to The Slags that a Member often knows diddly squat about the intricacies of the Planning and Building Regs Systems? Using their logic, I could go up to the tea lady at The Cabbage Patch and ask her about the project plan for their training ground. Whatever she says will be gospel.
  20. That’s a good question. The need for planning permission for shepherds huts (with wheels) caused much debate in the planning profession. What you do is keep moving the structure around your landholding. The SAGS could fit wheels on these tents and then tow them around Bristol for use at dog shows and the like, returning them to The Mammary every other Saturday.
  21. Hang on.... I think I’ll build a new house in my back garden. When it’s finished, if I like the look of it, I’ll sell it and then apply for planning permission and building regs. Proper job. Are they just thick, or mad?
  22. Shirley Not. Does she play for the Vixens? Half a Tilson and she could be available.
  23. Christsakes, well known as ‘pathological liars’, but their attendance thread takes it to new levels. Historically, rule of thumb has been two thirds City, one third Sags in terms of real/latent support. Now that’s heading towards a three quarters, one quarter divide. Very fitting that they have quarters for their shirts - that should help to remind them of their share of support. North Bristol was never ‘theirs’. The good news, it’s mostly ours now.
